They repealed the CC rule to the extent that each league now gets just 1 auto-bid and each league gets to determine for itself whether it goes to their regular-season champ or playoff champ. I think all the leagues chose playoff champ.

So we're back to where we started...

I guess now...with the PWR, there is almost no possible way you could win a league title, and not be in the Top 10 in the PWR (at least for the Power Conferences such as CCHA, HE and WCHA).

So if Holy Cross is ousted by Quinnipiac in the AH tourney, which would they choose?? The tourney champ? That would make the regular season championship in smaller conferences basically meaningless.
