Sal Atticum Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 http://www.northernplainsathletics.com This site is generally for North Dakota, South Dakota, northern Minnesota and southern Manitoba, but really it could include anywhere an athlete from Grand Forks might believably travel to go to a race (reason being, I'm in Grand Forks right now). - Running (road and trail) - Cycling (road, mountain, track, cyclocross) - Triathlons - Skiing - Adventure racing - Paddling (canoe, kayak, paddleboard) - Others as needed Some features: - Anyone can post upcoming events - You can bookmark events or say you're competing - Comment on how past events have gone off - Map-based search means you can find races close to you, faster - RSS feed of all events added to the site, or only those within 50 miles The site is primarily set up as a calendar for individual sports because these events have schedules that change from year to year and each person's schedule isn't carved in stone from the beginning of the season (as would be the case for summer softball). Feedback is always appreciated. Quote
Sal Atticum Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Just an update on this site, it's still active and is listing 150+ upcoming events. http://northernplainsathletics.com I'm curious, since I've been sort of balking at some race entry fees lately: what's the highest you'd pay to do a race? Does it matter if it's directly "for charity" or not? Quote
