  1. Nope, it seems to be a tap into the ESPN360 feed that requires Windows Media Player.

According to the ESPN360 page, tomorrow's UND game will be available from it. If you have the right broadband provider (i.e. one who subscribes to 360) you can watch it free from the ESPN site (linke above).

Or, if you don't, you can hope that channelsurfing guy doesn't get caught and shut down before tomorrow night

I see that you guys beat me to the punch on this. I have Qwest broadband and I watched this game online before it came back on ESPNU during the overtimes. The picture was beautiful, though I couldn't find a way to make it full-screen. I hope it works for you.

  2. Not true man. I had 469 points as Rip His Face Off. The next closest was 464. I didn't change my team one week when I was on a cruise and it cost me the playoffs. Man am I an idiot.

Thanks AZSioux for running the league it was a lot of fun. Now if you could only win without picking Gopher players it would be great.

Nobody forces you to pick Gophers, silly Stack. ???

  3. Agreed. :D

That said, I watched Notre Dame play on CSTV a few weeks back. They look to be a good team, with a good defense and strong goalie. They looked fast on the ice, but I'm not sure if that was because they were playing a weaker team (IIRC, they were playing WMU or BG), so some of that speed difference may have just been due to the competition.

IMO they could be a darkhorse for making the F4, but I agree that they may find difficulty if they are faced with a WCHA or HE opponent in the earlier rounds of the NCAA.

If the Sioux get placed in their region, I wouldn't complain.

    Neither would this Gopher fan!

  4. It's hard to say if Notre Dame is going to be tough like Ferris in '03, or if they are going to be like Miami of '06. With Jeff Jackson behind the bench and his coaching resume it seems foolish to me to look past them.

Ferris '03 wasn't that tough for everybody, were they? :D

  5. Are you calling the guy from Inside College Hockey a liar. I've already had one person who was listening to the hockey game on the radio confirm what I reported as far as the interview.

I don't recall that being said at all. In fact I'm pretty sure that the INCH said he had no idea whether or not Hirsh's other problems contributed to this. ***Update***Hill was not part of this interview that I'm talking about so Hill couldn't have made anything clear.***

Some questions for you that are so sure it's because of an illness.

    1. What do you have to go by besides speculation? If you can speculate why can't others?

    2. Were they lying when he said he was over that problem?

    3. Is it appropriate to diagnose someone you've never met even if you are board certified?

    4. Could a person have a bad attitude(or have lost the drive to compete) in addition to a problem that's under control?

    5. What's meaner, claiming someone's mentally ill (with no cause) or saying that he has a bad attitude(or have lost the drive to compete) at this stage of his life?

    6. Do you think Tyler Hirsh is reading this forum so that speculation will be hurtful to him? If that's the case do you think that people shouldn't discuss the issue at work or at home?

I might come up with some more questions, but that's a good start.

I suggest you take the advice of the band Switchfoot, "Let it go, Daisy let it go"

  6. I would think that if he was dismissed because of illness that you wouldn't be claiming that you're a better team without him. You'd be saying that you hope for the best for Mr. Hirsh.

Um, did you read the official statement from the U of M re:this issue? Secondly, when asked about this issue Lucia replies with "We wish Tyler the best and have nothing more to say regarding this issue." I've heard it multiple times. Tyler helped the Gophers to a nat'l championship and was their leading scorer 2 years ago and this year, they aren't going to throw him under the bus. Moreover, the U's hands are tied over this, it's the family that decides what info comes out. So not only is it unseemly for the coaching staff to comment, they could get in legal hot water if they did.

My conclusion, I highly doubt that Hill commented. If he did, it was a mistake. He shouldn't even say that the team may be better without Tyler, even if it's true. It's obvious that Tyler's behavior would have team ramifications, why say it?

  7. Those pages look great Jim. This just another piece that makes this sight the premier PWR analysis site on the net.

I think the Sioux need to win minimally 10/16 and first round WCHA playoff series win to give them a shot at the tourney.

How many do the Evil Red Menace need to win, in your opinion?

  8. Relax Mother Theresa, you're gonna give yourself a freaking heart attack. This is a message board where people post opinions. Mine differs from yours. Deal with it.

You are right, regardless of how ignorant and ill-founded an opinion is, we all have them. Thank you Sioux-cia for sharing yours. I too have a close relative that is challenged with mental illness.
