NCHC would be the best option.

UND is in the lower half of the Big Sky right now, make that claim when UND puts together some winning seasons in D1 first.
-
You could see this coming the day the College Football Playoff was implemented. Another red flag that this was going to happen was when Chris Petersen took the Washington Husky's job.
-
That's pretty much what happened to Mizzou and Kansas, except Kansas told Missou since you're leaving the Big 12 we're not going to play you anymore.
-
Teemu Selanne will have his jersey retired on January 11th when the Ducks host the Jets. I like the move by the Ducks to retire his jersey when they play the team he started his career with.

Is it me or does the Irish guy on the helmet look like a sad face.

Since 1999 only 4 non power 5 schools went undefeated Marshall (1999), Utah* (2004, 2008), Boise State (2006, 2009), and TCU* (2010). Utah is now in the PAC 12 and TCU is now in the Big 12. Utah in 2004 played 3 schools that are in the power 5: Texas A&M finished 7-5, Arizona finished 3-8, and North Carolina finished 6-6. Utah played one ranked team #20 Pittsburgh finished 8-4 and dismantled them 35-7. Utah end of season ranked #5/4 Boise State in 2006 played only 2 schools that are in the power 5: Oregon State finished 10-4 and the only ranked team #10 Oklahoma finished 11-3. Boise State end of season ranked #6/5 Utah in 2008 played 3 school that are in the power 5: #24 Michigan finished 3-9, Oregon State finished 9-4, and #4 Alabama finished 12-2. Utah also played two other ranked teams #11 TCU finished 11-2 and #14 BYU finished 10-3. Utah end of season ranked #4/2 Boise State in 2009 played 1 school that are in the power 5: #14 Oregon finished 10-3 and played another ranked team #3 TCU finished 12-1. Boise State end of season ranked #4 TCU in 2010 played 3 schools that are in the power 5: #24 Oregon State finished 5-7, Baylor finished 7-6, and #4 Wisconsin finished 11-2. TCU also played another ranked team #6 Utah finished 10-3. TCU end of season ranked #2

There are some Mid-Major basketball schools that can compete with the basketball powerhouses' of D1
-
I'd say they had two legitimate chances along with TCU before they went to the Big 12. So one team outside of the Power 5 and you could make the argument the Nevada is just as good as Boise State.
-
Name a team outside of the Power 5 Conferences that would be competitive.
-
It not like the Gophers have been all that good at football in the B1G since the early 60's. Edit: Northwestern would be the EMU of Chicago when it comes to sports in Chicago. Because there's no need for sub-divisions for NCAA D1 basketball.

What is your point? I'd bet more people are Michigan or Michigan State fans then fans of all of the other college football teams in Michigan combined.
-
Bridgewater and Jonny Football could both be mediocre and replace in a year or two by draft time.
-
He did draft Ponder and we can all see how that has gone.
-
Not at all, but poor move by the Vikings GM.
-
So the Vikings still owe that money to Freeman from last year?
-
Did the Vikings get rid of Freeman?
-
If I'm not mistaken there is a connection with the Roughriders in Colorado and the USHL Roughriders in Cedar Rapids
-
As dumb as it sounds, it is true.

You stated on here a timeline that would put the Big Sky in the FBS in 2020. The way the college football playoffs look now, no one outside of the power 5 conferences is playing for a national title. It was even stated that more then one team from the same conference can make the top four, depending how the committee decides to rank the teams. What I see happening is the power 5 conferences will see strength of schedule mattering more then pervious years. So the power 5 conferences would see it being more beneficial to play other power 5 conference teams then playing the lower level FBS conference teams. Which would in turn have more neutral site game at bigger NFL stadiums greatly benefiting the power 5 conferences, and you know the NCAA loves money. After seeing who is on the selection committee two name jump out as "why are you on the selection committee", Condoleezza Rice and Steve Wieberg. Rice make absolutely no sense and Wieburg is a former college football reporter, but you'd think a former player, coach, or A.D. would be a better choice then these two.

Looks like Fresno State paid $1 million to the WAC for its buyout.
-
Missouri and Texas A&M had to pay $12.41 million to the Big 12 originally it was suppose to be $30 million. Nebraska paid $9 Million to the Big 12 originally suppose to be $20 million. Colorado paid $6 million to the Big 12. West Virginia paid $20 million to the Big East.

You have F1 and Indy on NBCSN now and next year NASCAR will be on there. I like NBC's F1 coverage.

Racing is about to be on NBCSN

Well Lindenwood is in St. Charles Missouri and they're hosting the Women's Frozen Four at Family Arena which hold 9,643 for hockey. There is already a PAC 8 hockey conference (Arizona State, UCLA, USC, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Washington State, and California) the PAC 8 is ACHA D1 if I remember right. It looks like USC plays at the Anaheim Ducks practice facility. It looks like UCLA plays at the LA Kings practice facility. Utah plays at a building that has two Olympic sheets of ice the rink Utah plays in seats 2,500. It also looks like Utah State, BYU, and Weber State have hockey teams that play Utah.
