MafiaMan....Once again thank you for all the updates, outtakes, and keepsakes. Oh yeah, the luncheon was pretty decent too.
Anyway, take care and see you in the future. Finally to all the travelers that are still here...drive careful and be safe.

Requested? Requested? Try REQUIRED!
Yes, the Hogger is a straight shot out of St Paul on 35E north, then Highway 36 east to the first exit, which is Rice Street. Go north on Rice Street one mile and you'll see the bar/restaurant on the right-hand side of Rice Street. It's a 10 minute drive tops out of downtown St Paul.
edit: then Highway 36 west to the first exit, which is Rice Street
I'll be there (1)

It's OK. I think we all want this to be the year.
^^Agreed^^
Wow. What an entertaining thread. The bottom line is we can all agree to disagree with some of the posts presented here and hopefully not take things too personally. But we are all unified in our support and passion for the team called the Fighting Sioux. We all bleed black, green, and white. And we all hate rodents and pios.
I am looking forward to meeting some of you at the Hoggsbreath and putting a face to some of these names and toasting a few cold ones to "The Team".

What game were you watching? Cause I certainly don't think tonight showed a mere 15 minutes of 100% effort. Yes, there were some mistakes made. Yes, we all expected a sweep. But I didn't see a single Sioux player who wasn't busting his butt and trying to create opportunities and breakthrough some absurd levels of obstruction and holding. And, bottom dweller or not, I think tonight's tie was a better effort by the Sioux than the tie against the Gophers.
I guess it's all about how you interpret the game that was played in front of us. Maybe a more accurate way of describing tonite's game was that the boy's didn't impose their will on their opponents until the last ten minutes of the third period and the OT. Up to that point, Bemidji was controlling the flow of the game. And you are correct, scoring a goal and tying is a better effort than allowing a opponent two scores at the end of the game and tying us.

I'm not a Minnesota fan but I think the goofs have the match-ups to not allow the beavs to impose their press/trap defense effectively.
I hope I am wrong .

The Sioux have some faults in their mind-set about giving 100% for 60 min. 15 minutes against a bottom dweller isnt going to get you a win. Last regular season home game and they still havent learned. This game was a definite let down for the team and especially the seniors. Can only hope they realize this before playoffs.

UND better find a way to adjust to this type of hockey. If I was the coach for Mankato next week....

Are the Sioux still feeling the beavs out in the 2nd and plan on turning the afterburners on in the third? No energy in their play...

While we are on Cliche's lets strike while the iron is hot.
As long as you take it one game at a time.
The best defense is a great offense. Go Sioux!!!
