Valley News Live said that SDSU stated they would honor their current contract to play the already scheduled games. They just will not schedule any future games in any sport

Getting a FCS team up here is hard enough with $$$ could you imagine the $$$ to fork over for an FBS team to come here? We could have better attendance if Eastern Michigan were to come here. They only average around 8,000 or so anyways.
I agree, focus on the FCS games and take advantage of the $ benefits of going FBS schools when those opportunities arise

What would be the chances of a UND/Minnesota football game? Or Wisconsin, or Nebraska?

Hopefully the students will show because it's on a Thursday night, instead of going home to mama and papa on the weekend-- at least they might stay for the first half.
One thing that I like about the the 2013 schedule is most of the game times being later in the day. I think it was too early for students to get up and go to the Alerus center when the game was at noon... as ridiculous as that might sound. I am a student that went to every home game last year and, besides the homecoming game, it seemed to me that the Thursday night Drake game had the highest student attendance.

I, as a Bison fan, like the idea. A.) For me, its closer to Fargo!. But most importantly, B.) They are making an effort to capture the Sioux Falls market. If it works for them, great. If it doesn't, they are no worse off than they were before.
Oh yeah, I would think that Bison fans would be very excited about this move. Just seems odd to me. It would be like UND playing last years USD game in Fargo... Doesn't seem to gain much for USD

I understand what you are saying, but....
It's ok to put "Big Sky" logos on the turf but not "UND"? Is there another potential future Big Sky Football tenant that we aren't aware of?
It just makes no sense to me. Why would we half-ass this type of project? Do it right the 1st time.
I agree. Have they said anything about how much money UND contributed for the turf?

I don't understand USD's thinking on this one. Seems like the stadiums are roughly the same size, and they just moved it closer to NDSU, who is probably going to bring even more people now. I also just have a feeling that NDSU is probably going to drop the hammer on USD (as hard as that is to admit) so if they are moving it to Sioux Falls for boosters to watch it, I just have a feeling they are going to see a USD team get beat in a stadium that has a ton on Bison fans in it.... Doesn't seem to make sense...
Is there any talk about the game being played in Sioux Falls in the years to come?

I'm guessing that UND would have had to buy the turf outright if they wanted their logo at midfield? I like the Big Sky logos and the endzones seem to look as good as possible, given the current "situation."

I know NDSU is interested and may have him locked in, but he certainly is an athlete, quick, and throws very well. Also is one of the better DB's around. Also is a great basketball player.
