Caruso is probably the best pick. Bob Stitt at Colorado School of Mines is my pipe dream, but Caruso would do a great job I think

as a Kansas fan, I can assure you they have no atmosphere. However I sadly can assure you that they're pretty good and I don't think this one will be pretty.

Hey thanks for the link.
I agree it's probably not going to happen but it would be awesome. The basketball team never plays on Friday nights and on Saturday night maybe once or twice a year (like this weekend) so I think people could go to both but I agree there's not a ton of interest down here.
Then again if you plop a team (and a rink) in town you never know.
For what it's worth College Hockey Inc. is going to give their spiel to KU (and missouri) at the Ice Breaker next year
-
Any Sioux fans planning on attending this game? I live in the Kansas City area so I'll be going with some friends who are KU grads and sitting in student section, so it should be a blast. It'd be great to see some other fans sporting the green and white...
wish I could. I'm a current KU student but home on winter break so alas it's a no go.

Dean Blais is a better coach than Hak, but Hak is still a good coach. There's a reason Blais keeps getting chosen to coach the WJC team, and there's a reason when he coached last they won gold. Blais is probably an all time great in college coaching
All true, but to be fair to Hak he has been approached about coaching Canada's WJC team despite Hockey Canada's complete bias for CHL guys

Really not sure what to make of this one. Bradley is better than we are but if we play well I think we can win.
-
I still think he is our best player.
probably. he's not good enough to where he can do that stuff though.
-
I'm pretty sure we could find someone else who shoots a ton of shots, makes under half of them, and doesn't contribute in any other ways (offensively at least)
-
. ISU put up 74 against Oklahoma this weekend, then come up here and we hold them to 47, that sounds like some good defense.
More importantly we held them to .77 points per possession (they scored .987 PPP against Oklahoma)

So were you considering UND to be a Big Sky or Great West member when you typed this?
Great West. I'm surprised we won even though Idaho State is terrible.
-
worst team in the Big Sky is still > the best team in the Great West

Holy cow! ISU Bengals have a center on their roster that's listed at 7 feet 4 inches. Wonder if he's athletic enough to play with that kind of height. Might have to show up at the Betty just to see that spectacle.

shot the ball well against OU but didn't really rebound. Interesting.

Well last year it was more of a they just wanted to get back on D vs. going after the offensive boards. I figured that wouldn't change this year but maybe since they had a size advantage they decided to crash the boards a bit more.
-
really surprised at the offensive rebounding numbers in the game given how poor they were at it last year (though it was more because they didn't try rather than a talent deficiency)
-
ha I don't think you'll have to worry about that
-
Sorry to be so pessimistic, but they're going to have to get a lot better to be anything better than 6th or so in the Big Sky. Fortunately they were so young last year that I think they can get there.
-
Great blogs....I think excitement is finally getting back to basketball
Hopefully. We should be pretty good this year. The trick will be keeping it up when (or if) we get to the Big Sky

Just wanted to pop on and say thanks for the link. Much appreciated.

I question how people who want Hak gone also have enough brainpower to start a computer
