  1. The club level has great views and in my view is much more desirable than the lower bowl. If you take the lower bowl make sure you are high enough to see over the glass. It really obstructs your views down the ice. The upper deck is fine also, that is where I usually sit. Outside of the gopher or sioux games you can sit in the lower bowl(plenty of open seats).

  2. You're comparing apples to oranges.

Those companies that are already using processes that don't emit carbon will not see price increases.

I agree but in order to supply their product with lower emission they are probably already using more expensive technology. Therefore their base operating expenses are higher and unless subsidized by someone, the higher cost are passed on to others.

  3. Here's the true analogy:

doctor 1 is slapped with a new fee because his methods are not compliant with the new standard. He attempts to pass that cost to his customers by increasing his costs.

The customers then leave doctor 1 and go to doctor 2 who did not increase his costs since he did not get the new fee because his methods are compliant.

Doctor 1 is forced to upgrade his methods to become compliant so that he can return to being cost-competitive with doctor 2.

    sorry, but I must respond.

If say in my profession the gov. mandates all exams require a visual field exam. I don't provide that to all my patients at this time but my competitors do. My cost will go up due to the purchase of a new machine which will get passed on the the patients, and my competitors who already provide those test will see no fee increase for their patients. The bottom line is my original exam fees were lower than said competitor and now are closer to theirs. I can guarantee they were not providing that test at no cost to their patients and had a higher fee than myself to start with; so said theory doesn't hold water.

  4. I noticed they will be auctioning off some jerseys this weekend. Jonathan Toews and Ryan Duncan jerseys friday with Saturday featuring T.J. Oshie and Travis Zajac. Does anyone have any idea what they may go for and what orginization does the money go to. thanks

  5. I may make it down there but I don't have tix yet. What is the possibility of obtaining tickets at the door? The last couple years it didn't appear to be a sell out but I would hate to get there and then not be able to get in. Why not order early you may ask? I have to work till 5:00 or later on sat. and if that happens I probably wouldn't be able to make the drive in time(via st paul).

  6. NO jumping quite yet but this is terrible.

4th goal- possibly the worst clearing pass of the game. Great you killed the penalty but you can't stop playing. Get into the corner and work the puck up the board. Don't just flip it to the half boards becasuse you're under pressure. Where were the forwards to get that garbage? PS. if the shooter is on the end line and your D is in the crease cover the post.

5th goal- 10 sec in the period, I know your tired but either get off the ice quickly of at least pay attention to their goalie making the quick pass up ice. If this is the case stay put and D-up

    frustration

  7. If you want to stand all game feel free, but I hope you enjoy the last row in the upper deck. That is the only place in the arena that standing during the game will be tolerated. A quick search of the board will give you thousands of replies regarding the standing vs not standing issue over the past 4 years. :D

  8. which Sensors do you guys usually meet at. (blooomington?) I am often at the Roseville location being that it's closer to home. however, the UND crowd is fairly small. It would be great to be in a larger group giving a better game like atmosphere.

  9. Really enjoyed our recent trip to GF for the Duluth series. What a couple of great games.

Couple of thoughts. Our group was really appreciative of the band being in the lower bowl. We thought that really helped with atmosphere. Tried to get the crowd chanting a few times (Let's Go Sioux) but had trouble getting up any interest, and the one time the band caught on they started up off-beat. What's up with that? :D

Anyway, I dug Cowbell Guy. He got a big cheer from the crowd on Saturday night. If the guy is reading this who yelled out afterwards "He's just a band geek, people!" and then proceeded to tell your lackeys and everyone around how you used to pick on guys like that in high school, you can kiss my ass. We expect that attitude from gopher fans, not one of our own. How about having fun at the game instead of sitting quietly at the game with your 4 door 4wd red pickup stuck in your pants.

Also dug "All By Myself" played when the 'Dog was sitting in the sin bin, all lonesome. I hope more of that kind of thing is thrown into the mix.

Very impressed with the students in the 2nd deck on Friday night. You put the students in the first deck to shame, along with the rest of the crowd. Very active and vocal. Way to go!

Would love to see the words for Stand Up and Cheer on the ring. It would help me as I haven't memorized them.

Dug the band playing in the concourse between periods on Sat, and watching the little show the percussion section put on. Those guys are having a good time and the crowd that gathered was impressed. Keep it up!

Here's to more good times at the Ralph!

I agree with you regarding the students in the upper bowl. Very into the game and made a fair amount of noise. However, what about all the emply seat (Especially in the lower student section). I was perplexed by the number of people in the bars. There had to be 300+ people in the bar drinking and visiting oblivious to the fact they were at a hockey game. If they don't want to watch the game I'm sure many others would love to have their tickets.

The play on the ice was acceptable in my eyes. The passing was much improved compared to games earlier in the year, but the intensity dropped dramatically after the two goal lead. They need to sweep this weekend and that will only be possible with a full 60 min. game.

  10. Man am I kicking myself tonight. I couldn't convince myself to pull the wallet out last night and get the Zajac jersey. Guess I should've had a couple more beers.

Does anyone know if there will be another auction the last weekend and can you bid by phone? (won't be at the game)

    thanks

  11. It has been said before but the standing issue can probably be solved by putting the student on the ends where they won't block the down ice view of nearby fans. Arguments for the students wanting to be near the box and season ticket holders who prefer the end/corner seats has been presented but wouldn't this move easily solve the larger problem. Students could then stand and the other ticket holders wouldn't have to look over those needing to stand.

I hated the students standing at the old ralph but I had the option of sitting elsewhere. near the top rows by the press box, or in the corners was much preferred. The students should be allowed to stand and yell, they are the ones that drive the crowd noise.

    just my 2 cents

GO SIOUX we need a split

  12. Saturday night's game was my first at the new Ralph. I had the pleasure of sitting next to some nice Denver fans/parents and some not so genuine. The slurs of goons, thugs, cheap team, etc flowed freely from some as the game wound down. Yes those terms can be tossed out there but the arrogant attitudes, chippy play , taunting, and trash talking was the worst I have ever seen. It was most apparent in the last 10 minutes following goal and stops in play. I am sure Prpich, etc had their mouths running but it was not as evident as those from the Denver players. Mutliple times after goals they could be seen skating past the ND bench more concerned with the verbal assault than the congratulation among teammates for said goal.

Should the ND players have taken their lumps, and held their composure? Absolutely, but if one is provoked long enough they are bound to boil over. Hopefully this is now behind them and they can have a good clean series in Denver.

Secondly If anyone has 3 tix for a sat game later this year I would love to hear from you. The parents wanted to see a good game at the new Ralph. Unfortunately, they weren't overly impressed with the result of the game so I promised I try and get tix again. thanks
