I wonder if starting the season with three on the road, plus getting whacked last week, has created an 'outta sight outta mind' situation that has slowed ticket sales. I don't think there should be that many tickets available this close to kickoff.
I know you try to put a wet blanket on anything regarding UND, but these ticket numbers look pretty decent and we haven't even kicked off yet.
I've come across numerous people who are a lot more excited about this season, because of the buildup and all the away games.

When did ebay stop showing other bidder's information?
They started that a couple months ago. It takes place on several different auctions, including when the bidding gets to a certain price point. There were so many fake second chance offers and phishing scams going out to bidders that ebay felt this would help combat that problem.

I agree with Dave. A basketball town is the one that has basketball and football as their main sprots. Class B schools come to mind. Minnewaukan, Bottineau, Mayville, Thompson and many co-op schools I dont know the names of. The whole town is there to back them up at games, and if they make it into regionals or state..the last one out of town, turns the lights off. You may see that in Grafton, too, but they are a hockey town first.
I agree with most of what you say, but towns like Bismarck, Minot, Williston, Dickinson have high school hockey and I think that basketball is a very popular sport there.

A "basketball town" is one that has no local high school hockey teams. Lots of the smaller towns that participate in Class B are what I would call basketball towns.

Once again, hockey and football are not the "only" sports. Believe it or not, people do actually like basketball, I know it is hard for you to believe.

I think that most of you (including Eddie) missed Taylors point.
The point is that NDSU would NOT play us in 2008 (due to playoff ramifications and us not being a counter). So, to just have the game for the sake of playing then skip a year or more would be silly.
NDSU doesn't seem scared to play us nor should they be. While we have a good football team, they do too.
Regarding the comments of Taylor and the other sports. It's a little late in the game for UND and NDSU to start scheduling for all other sports. Usually schedulesd come out much in advance and to have our AD say something to the fact that we'd play them in all sports really isn't fair since it's not possible in several sports.
While we often accuse NDSU fans of having their green and gold glasses on we must also realize that most of us are doing the same thing.
Pot, kettle, kettle, pot.
And as a side note... Let's not shove down their throat our Womens basketball success... After all we know that the real sports that matters in mens bball and football. IMHO, the Bison men would wipe the floor with our mens team. So all of these comparisons between sports. Drop it. Just as we might beat their girls, they would kick our asses in other sports.
Your points would be good ones if you weren't a bison fan posing as a sioux fan. I'll never understand why people do that.

That's ok. I think Gregoire is good, but I think he's not a first round pick either. He could be a 2nd round pick, though.
That being said, he could be a "Gretzky special" and go something like 20+ spots ahead of where he should have been picked.
This kid is a very good player and what is wrong with him only being a "2nd round pick" in your eyes?

im not tryin to be "thread police" im just sayin....it was already discussed in the former players forum. and its not "wading through 119 pages of posts" to find it, all youahve to do is go to the end of the topic, ats all right there. its not that hard. im just sayin. thats what it's there for.....plus, there was already ANOTHER individual thread started for this, like Luapsided pointed out
Again, not everything has to go in the "former players" thread. I'm just "sayin" that this was deserving of its own thread and I don't understand why people insist on certain things going into that thread all the time, especially when it is newsworthy and should be recognized.

I'm not the biggest fan of Dubay, but I do not agree with removing him from broadcasts for comments that were made off the air.

This kid is a real talent and he never takes a shift off... hey just look how he performed for his own country in the world juniors, but unfortunately we may never see that potential in a Sioux jersey. I hope I'm wrong, becuase I know he can do so much more.
I saw his potential in a Sioux jersey during the second half of last season and throughout the playoffs.
