My golden retriever Rusty is very sick with pneumonia and because of that it looks like I will have to get rid of my saturday night tickets to the st cloud series. I also have a hotel room that I confirmed that I can transfer to someone else for that night. The hotel is Country Inns and suites and according to google maps isn't too far away from the campus. The tickets are Sioux attacking end, sec. 112 row 4 seats 7,8. The tickets were about $77 after ticketmaster got its mitts on me and the hotel was $63 after taxes on priceline. If anyone is interested in helping me out and going to see some Sioux hockey this weekend please drop me a PM. Would like to get back close to what I put into this deal as my dog is costing us a fortune but I will entertain offers..... thanks and go Sioux!
I may be interested in the tickets. Where are you located since we probably wouldn't have enough time to ship them?

I'll tell Al about this as well. There is also a hospitality room for Sioux fans at the Kelly Inn. Can't wait!!! I just talked to Al and he has a few seats left... his trip includes game tickets so if you're having a hard time finding tickets call Al and come on with us!!!!!
I live in the Twin Cities and my wife and I are thinking about making the short trip to St. Cloud for Saturday's game. I obviously wouldn't be able to take advantage of the bus but do you know if there are any extra game tickets for sale? I'm thinking probably not but I thought I'd ask anyway.

You guys will hear the "A**hole" chant a plenty, but other then that the student section at 'Ucci is harmless. Which section are you in, Section 2-3 or the main student section 13-14?
I thought Sioux fans were the only ones that swore.

I mean obviously the university has to send out an email like that, but it's not like it's a big deal.
Let's be real here....most of the students who go to these games are only programmed to hate the Gophers. They don't know much about the Sioux team, they just know to hate the Gophers. A weird type of obsession.
Some gems I heard sitting in the section:
"What's Kristo's first name?"
"I didn't know we still had Jon Toews"
But seriously, F The Gophers, although funny the first time or two, gets a little boring after a while. It's hard to not laugh at a group who is so uncreative that they can't think of anything better than that.
Is it creative to chant B.S. after a penalty is called? I heard that loud and clear on FSN North last weekend.
Oh, and I have a gopher fan in my office that I had to explain that they play 2 game weekend series in college hockey. He didn't know how the college hockey schedule operates, let alone the players names.

I'm not arrogant enough to demand control over the agenda of a newly seated sovereign tribal government.
The ND SBoHE knows the deadlines; I'm sure the tribal government knows them too.
And the deadlines I refer to are the ones from the NCAA agreement.
As long as the lines of communication (Goetz to Murphy and back) are open, let the tribe sort this out, in their way, on their terms (understanding that some dates are non-negotiable per the NCAA).
The Spirit Lake vote is nearly bullet-proof because that was done by them, on their terms, in their way.
Anything less, you give the protesters more ammunition that this was forced upon the tribe.

You guys are absolutely correct. If you can't use the F-Bomb in your cheers what the heck is the sense of the players playing the games at all. There will be no way to cheer at all if you can't use F bombs. It makes such a difference because the opposing teams hear it and are so intimidated few of them want to venture out on the ice. Without the F bombs, no way do Sioux teams come out fired up. There is no way we have 7 national championships without that particular cheer even though the crowds didn't yell it in unison until just recently and we haven't won a national title in the time it has been a common cheer. In fact if the candy a..... who aren't man enough to use those words in a public arena like this, get their way then the team will quit winning. There will be no more reason to live much less go to school. The Gopher fans said the word so we should be able to also. Hitler invaded Poland ( or was it Ralph?) and the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor and this issue pales in comparison so it isn't an issue. Don't try and convince me the tribes might not wish to let us use the Sioux name if we use these cheers. Other teams would never respond by yelling back F the Sioux so that is not a factor. I could certainly go on and on but it is like trying to convince a drunk they shouldn't drive. Some of you just don't get it. The fans who think it is anything worth keeping as part of UND hockey tradition are wrong. I would wonder how they ever got into UND in the first place. (I thought we had raised the admissions standards). We need to be smarter than that.
Did I say that UND fans should use the F word? Did I say the F word is a part of Sioux hockey tradition? Why are you quoting me? I've been to plenty of sporting events in plenty of arenas and people swear. I think it being brought up that the gophers do it is just to show that all teams do it. It's not some lawless conspiracy at UND to swear at teams.
And everybody knows the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

Think 54 million homes under the new Fox College Sports deal.
Does Fox College Sports want the FCC asking why they're allowing the f-bomb during their broadcasts?
If it persists, what happens? Easy: FCS drops UND.
Nobody wants that as we want to watch UND hockey from anywhere.
So what's the solution?
Lose one word, just one word, from the chant vocabulary. Pretty simple.
Fox Sports North didn't seem to mind the Gopher student section yelling "B.S." (the actual words) after a call last weekend. I heard it clear as day on my TV. Well, if they did mind they didn't do or say anything about it. Maybe FSN North will drop the U of M...

The only people(s) I've met that do things on their own "time" more so than NAs are Hawaiians! This issue in SR will not get resolved by Nov. 30.
Not resolved now and not resolved Nov 30th what's the difference? Is October 31st somehow a better day for this to not be resolved and end? At least if there are extensions the name has a chance.

Then the nickname is not that important to them.
I see no reason to give them any more extensions beyond Nov 30th. Maybe that will light a fire under their rears.
Us nickname supporters bennefit from the extensions genius. Without them the name would be gone Saturday...or at the last deadline. The dates with the NCAA are the real deadlines. They need time to figure it out, give it to them.

Everybody should just silently shuffle into their seats before the game, watch the game in silence, and then leave.
That way nobody's feelings will be hurt and our kids can learn that life is boring and there's nothing worth getting excited about.
And speaking of people's feelings being hurt, I'm not a big fan of forechecking or whatever it's called when people go careening around the ice and colliding with one another. And another thing....

Why can't fans just leave their differences at the arena. Hope the guy comes out of it all right.We all like our teams, but in the end it's a game...no reason to hurt anybody or get hurt over it. It's too bad stuff like this happens.

Two reasons. #1 they are obsessed with the Gophers. And #2 Holy Cross T-shirts are probably the nicest piece of clothing in a Sioux fans closet, not counting their Arctic Cat jackets of course.

This is my first year with my free to air, and so far it's worked great. The picture is great, I'm very happy so far. Better picture and I don't have to pay for a sports pack. Well worth it.

After all of these posts does anybody know with clarity whether or not the games can be seen by directv customers? This is so confusing.

After reading all this info on 2 different threads, I still can't tell my daughter (who has Directv) if she'll have access to the Sioux hockey games this year. Does anybody out there really know?

Random live games? I can't find a listing anywhere. They just pick something and go with it? Maybe there is only one live event between the three channels so there aren't any conflicts...
