 That's pure gold right there.

Where do I start.............anti-Christianity, anti-Semitism, anti-conservsitism and anti-Americanism just to name a few ideologies that are engulfing universities across the nation but if you need a prayer room 5 times a day they can accommodate that. If you want a safe zone because some hurt your feelings they can accommodate that. If you are a minority with any issues whatsoever they look into it. Offended by a nickname and logo... no worries we got this covered. Was the "B*tch" Snapchat post an error in judgment...absolutely. If the UND is going to take a stand and tackle that with vigor it needs to address at a minimum the four issues I mentioned to start this post.......and don't put your head in the sand and think those topics are not creeping onto the campus at UND.

How should UND address the anti-conservatism (assuming this is what you meant) and anti-Americanism ideologies creeping onto their campus?

  2. No, but they should be bummed that they can't get out of the first round. Maybe bottom of the barrel is too harsh, but it's unacceptable that this franschise has been mired in quicksand for so many years. Your accepting attitude about it is also part of the problem. Why should the front office care if the fans are satisfied with just making the playoffs?

Making the playoffs after being a non factor for so long gives fans optimism. The front office cares about winning because...$$$$$$$$$$$. Every owner in the league wants to be playing games at their arenas into June. They aren't striving to win so I get a warm feeling in my heart.

  3. Yeah.....so did 15 other teams. In a 30 team league, "making the playoffs" is not a standard of excellence I would be proud of. And it had been several years since the Mild had even managed to accomplish that. Overall, the total body of work is mediocre at best.

You didn't say mediocre. You said bottom of the barrel. When in fact they finished in the top half of the proverbial barrel last year. Should Wild fans be bummed when they make the playoffs?

  4. This is a textbook example of why the Minnesota Wild (Mild) are a bottom of the barrel franchise in the NHL. No wonder people are starting to lose interest in them; you can't use the "expansion team" crutch anymore.

Didn't the Wild make the playoffs last year?

  5. Basically, the guy on KFAN who is very knowledgable about all sports except college hockey. :)

I like PA but he has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to college hockey. He makes some pretty bold statements in regards to the gophers. Like saying Patterson is on fire and probably the best goalie in the WCHA.

  6. Not sure where you're pulling this .926 from...

    2 Aaron Dell, So, North Dakota 33 24-6-2 1905:50 62 700 .919 1.9519

    28 Kent Patterson, Jr, Minnesota 28 14-7-6 1620:35 67 778 .921 2.4806

He got it from PA saying Patterson is the best goalie in the WCHA a couple weeks ago. If PA says it it's gotta be true. I think we all know the huge problem gopher fans have with keeping in line with reality when making statements.

  7. First night...2-2 draw. Second night, 3-1 Irish! The real ND, the one with money, pride, athletic tradition, classy fans and school, will prove victorious.....and to think...the people down there are hardly even aware they have a hockey team. The way things are meant to be. God, Family, Football, Basketball, sport for unathletic white trash.

Where is your football team ranked? Glad to see you put God before football because they'll need some help from him to see a BCS bowl game this year.

  8. Ill tell u one thing, the indians wont be getting the free dish and the masters degrees handed to them at UND anymore!

Your comment is embarrassing. I'm a nickname supporter and your comment is embarrassing.

  9. Perhaps Blaiser actually LIKES the city of Omaha, and the situation at UNO. He will be back in the WCHA, in a 16,000 seat arena. Sounds like Trev Alberts is running a nice program down there.

Impossible. Everybody likes Minneapolis more and every coach wants to coach the gophers and every player wants to play for them.

  10. This extension means nothing. If/when the U wants him they will get him.

The almighty U of M can get anybody they want. It's everybody's first choice. The rest of college hockey just has to get by on what they pass up on. You'd think they'd be able to win with that type of advantage. It even applies to players. I'm so happy they didn't want Parise (either one), Oshie, Brock Nelson, Gothberg, or Forbort since I'm sure their first choice was MN. Lucky UND.

  11. I'm just curious.... if "Awesome" can't spell his name in his post, how does he log into this site?

Thank God for "Remember this Computer" option on the login, eh? :glare:

That or I just copy and paste it. "Awesome" is a very hard word to spell...give me a break here.

  12. Well, he is the only player to be arrested twice, and suspended twice this season, so he probably should be front page news over there.

I agree. The COLLEGE HOCKEY website should put him on the front page for the reasons you listed. Not because he's awesoem at hockey.

  13. I asked the question, what should he have done different?

Your arguments have a disregard for the fact that he and Wehrs were both in a high speed chase situation to get possesion of a puck in a do or die playoff game tied 1-1.

So Fratten gets there first and decides to take the man because he has Trupp to get the puck. That is correct positioning for cycling play. We do it dozens of times a game.

Now you might argue that he should have put the breaks on and boxed out Wehrs in Liou of checking him, but I would contend that he did not have him beat to the puck by enough to make that work.

If Fratten would have hit the breaks and vyed for position I think he would have gotten nailed and lost an opportunity for possesion.

    That's how I see it.

Sioux hockey doesn't involve hitting the brakes. Hit! Frattin did the right thing.

  14. 8-11 I think but I'm not sure off the top of my head...we will be impossible to miss

If you're from "The U" (University of Miami), like your profile says, why do you like the gophers so much? Or even hockey for that matter? Are you originally from Minneapolis?

  15. I think we have six big gold banners at Mariucci. Five traditional NCAA titles and the 1940 team featuring our arena's namesake. While I think 7>5 is appropriate, I don't think our celebrating our only unbeaten/untied team in over 90 years should bother you johnny come latelies too much. :silly:

I'm sorry, UND only hangs banners for NCAA National titles and McNaughten Cups. I guess if you have to reach for straws to get fabric in the rafters hang them for whatever you want. Hang one for the beer guy! Wait...no beer there.

  16. Gopher fans like to think that their NIAA co-title in 1929 (shared with Yale) and their 1940 AUU title somehow count toward their NCAA total for championships.

Oh, I got it. So does that mean that in 1907 when some UND students beat some other dudes goes toward our title count too!?

  17. I can't wait for half the people to wear white and for it to look stupid. I hope everyone around me wears white so I stand out...means I can't be wearing my white jersey.

Will it look as stupid as being bumped out of your own arena for synchronized skating?

  18. I can't wait for half the people to wear white and for it to look stupid. I hope everyone around me wears white so I stand out...means I can't be wearing my white jersey.

Judging by how much you run your mouth you'll stand out no matter what you wear.
