  1. Isn't he right when he says ever coach that wins a championship is better than him?

Ever year ever team the most important thing by far is the National Championship....No one will remember how many Frozen Fours Hakstol had thirty years from now. OR How many times he choked all those frozen fours away.

I plused by accident. Am a big Hakstol supporter.

  2. Have seen most UND games this year and Kristo has been the best player on the ice, from either team, in well over half those games. I like Nelson, but he in no way changes the complexity/dynamic of the games like Danny does night in and night out.

I agree with everything you said. I don't understand why Danny doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves when it comes to postseason awards.

  3. Not too bad. Add in FSN and there was probably between 70,000-90,000 viewers. I wish FSN would tell what type of ratings they get for Gophers hockey. Can't find it anywhere.

It truly is insane how many UND alumni live in Denver

Even though we export oil, AG products, and many manufactured products. Our largest export is the talented hard working people who leave the state for jobs around the country.

  4. I think he tries to take a little jab at UND with the Canadian recruitment remark, but as someone pointed out, the joke is on him because the latest players to bail on UND for the CHL, are Americans.

Also, I think it's hilarious that Gopher fans think Hakstol is simply "complaining" and say its nothing more than self-serving interest. They laugh off the idea of NCAA coaches banding together to stand up against the CHL. This is not an issue exclusive to Coach Hakstol and UND. BU, BC, Miami (OH), and Michgan have all been burned by CHL teams within the last year, and the CHL appears to be getting more aggressive in its tactics. I guess it's easy to be complacent when your team hasn't yet been affected.

To your point, it seems like Roman and the Gopher fan base may have their heads buried in the sand.

  5. We are certainly going to have great depth next year, it will all just be in the goalie position. Saunders made 50 saves on Duluth last night.

I really wonder what is going to happen. Dell may not be as big of a flight risk this year as he was after last season. He isn't having as great of a year, he hasn't been terrible but not nearly as solid as last season. Of course, a lot can and will happen throughout the rest of this year. So who knows, but we could potentially be sitting with three elite goalies going into next year.

Much of what we see as a dropoff in Dell's performance is a direct result of the quality of support in front of him.

  6. Need some serious production out of Knight, Krispy Toes and Nelson tonight. Just weather the storm with the rest of the guys.

Your reference to Kristo not classy and not funny.
