This is wrong.  They were expensive almost right away.  Allegiant knew what was going on and flights departing from anywhere in ND for them have had premium pricing for months.

Allegiant was also very high here in Sioux Falls when I searched 6 months ago when I acquired game tix! We ended up finding the cheapest deal out of Frontier in Omaha. In response to this game announcement, Allegiant definitely jacked up fares regionally...and has been that way for months, not just recently!

We are flying on Frontier and booked a while back out of Omaha...here’s what I found searching just this morning ...price includes rountrip airfare for 2. Leaving Thurs and returning  Sun.

We ended up getting our flight, hotel (3 nights @ TI) & round trip airport shuttle package for $400 per person, back when we booked in April. Since there was a question about current options & prices so just wanted to show what most recent prices via Omaha are looking like...at least on Frontier.

Grand Forks, Fargo, Minot, Bismarck and Sioux Falls were around double the normal price on Allegiant and they even released flights later than normal. They were well aware of what was going on.

Does anyone have any restaurant and or bar/nightlife suggestions in SF?

We have some great restaurants & bars downtown: MacKenzie River Pizz, Grill & Pub, Phillips Avenue Diner, Minervas, JL Beers, Crave, WoodGrain Brewing Co., The Blarney Stone Pub, Fernson’s on 8th, Monk’s House of Ale Repute, Prarie Berry East Bank, PAve, Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen to name a few. If you want delicious diner type foods but nothing fancy, I recommend The Crack’d Pot just off of Russell St. on Minnesota Ave...close to The Denny (arena).   Btw, if you or your friends need more tickets, I have 2 lower bowl tickets remaining. PM me if interested.

  5. Sheraton Sioux Falls Convention Center & Ramada Sioux Falls Airport Hotel & Suites are both located right next to the Denny Sanford Premier Center which is where the arena housed (off Russell Street and West Ave). The Premier Center is not far off of I29.  There are many other hotels off I29 at the 26th Street exit as well as I29 at the 41st Street.

  6. When they were building this facility ("The Denny"), the facility planners actually spent quite a bit of time up at The Ralph to gather inspiration. I agree with Wildfan...the sightlines are great throughout the arena! The Denny & Sioux Falls has successfully hosted other NCAA tourneys (basketball). Fingers crossed UND gets to host the West Regional here in my backyard! The preparty before the official preparty at my place! ;)
