  1. This is a really dumb question but - have they started selling tickets for the Potato Bowl yet? I know I saw the date somewhere i just can't remember when they start selling them.

  2. Last year, I don't remember the opposing team but. A player lost his stick by the Sioux bench, and skated off to his bench. In the meantime Rory McMahon (who was on the bench) looked around, picked the stick up, broke it and threw it back on the ice. Hillarious!

OMG!!! I forgot about that one!!! That was a great one!!!! :)

  3. What about this year, when a Sioux player was sitting on top of an opponent- when both teams and all refs were at the other end of the ice. The Sioux player looks around to see if anyone is watching and when he see's that no one is watching he pushes the opponent back into the ice with his stick and skates off w/o the refs seeing. I think everyone in the whole arena saw that one - exept for the refs.

I don't remember who it was or what game it was - but i think i will always remember that one. :)

  4. Come on really, Jake beating his girl friend. This sounds like some dreamed up vicious rumor that was probably..

Was that sarcasim or did you really hear that rumor. That's the first time I've heard that rumor.

  5. Do you know if someone else can use your seat? For example - If you are away for that weekend and you want to give someone, who is not a UND student, your ticket - can you? Anyone know? :)

  6. Season ticket holders:

When you aren't going to use your seats, please make sure someone is in it. I don't care if they are rabid and cheer for UND or just sit there like a statue. (Cheering for opponents is unacceptable. )

(im quoting this from a while ago)

Amen!!! i hate it when i go to the ticket office and the general admission tickets are sold out, but when i go home to watch the game - you can see empty spaces in the season ticket space. i understand that you can't make it to all the games but there are some people that would love to go but there are no tickets left. and if you can't find someone to buy them from you - post them on the rea website!!! then someone else has a chance to go to the game!!!

    just my opinion

  7. Does the hockey team have any scrimmages like the football team did on Saturday? I know they do the Skate with the Sioux thing at the beggining of the season, but do they have any games where everyone could come and watch?

  8. :) What happened with the Leafs and the Flyers? ??? 6-1 I thought that the Leafs did really good the night before. Eddie was stopping everyone. I turned on ESPN last night to watch the final five minutes of the game, and I was surprised to see that they were that far behind. I know that they had a game the night before, and had to fly to a different city that night but, I guess I didn't think the Leafs would get that far behind. Was Eddie in the goal all night? Does anyone else have any relpies?
  9. Are there going to be any more pictures on the siouxsports.com website. Did anyone take pictures at the playoffs that are going to be posted on the website?

  10. Ok I understand abou people not being able to see. But if they move the students section - give us two sections. Fine if you move us but some of us get their and hour and a half to two hours before the game just to get a seat in the lower bowl. Without the student section at the bottom bowl we won't get that "7th man on the ice" advantage. I'm sure that helps the players get phsyced up (sp?). Besides....what the point of having home ice if ya can't yell at the people in the penalty box!!!!

  11. Tradition. That's all that Sioux hockey is! There is no other school in the country that comes close to what the University of North Dakota is all about. Michigan and the Gophers can talk all they want. We have the unique name, the mystique, the tradition, all the players in the NHL, people all around the world that follow Sioux Hockey. There is nothing else like it in the college ranks.....of any sport in my opinion. Everybody wants what we have. The tradition, the loyal, die-hard, fanatic fans who can't get enough of Sioux hockey. No matter what happens at the end of every year of Fighting Sioux hockey, it still gains in popularity. Just to play for the program is an honor in itself and that is how we recruit our players as well. Hard working clean-cut kids who leave everything on the ice every weekend night. Sioux hockey will live forever. I can't wait till dry-land practice starts again!

    GO SIOUX! :)

    amen ;):):)
