Looks like UND is headed back to Gemini if this website is any indication.
Wait, are those the new FB unis in there??? That logo on the shoulder/arm looks really bad. It's gonna be all stretched out there.
The only good thing I see from going back to Gemini, is that the numbers are a lot better looking. UND need to drop the double outlined names on the back, it's way too small to pull off well. Just go with black or green names.

I have a large one in a wallpaper format. I'll have to edit it up some to make it more of a logo. I'll have to work on it later though. What is this gonna be used for, may I ask?

Bismarck won, 1-0. Dang.
-
Gonna revise this and say I will consider Saturday as well.
Also, I have never looked to buy tickets the day of the game before, if it boils down to that, what it the "scalper scene" like, do I have a chance of finding some that way?

Lower bowl preferenced, but beggers can't be choosers I suppose.

It most definitely seems like it. I'd love the B10 conference as long as we kept UND on the schedule each year.
I can almost guarantee that if they move to a Big Ten conference and we still have the Sioux nickname, they will pull the "Now that we are in different conferences and have no obligation to play them, (excpet playoffs) we will refuse to play UND based on the controversey of the nickname" bullcrap.

I don't see a problem with 11, works for the Big Ten I guess. If you need 12, then UNO would be great, followed by NMU. That's about all that would work, since AF doesn't want in.

I completely disagree with those that think that academics and athletics should be kept with seperate identities.
Many have said that athletics is the front porch of a University. Athletics is the most visable department within a University. A major part of our move to DI should be to increase not only the visability but the recognition of the University. Right now we are introducing ourselves to many sports fans for the first time. And we want these fans to be able to recognize UND and it's logos. Using a logo that most people view as another University's is not the way to do that.
And from a marketing standpoint for the University, it would be wrong to try to keep athletics and academics seperate. I'm not saying that all logos should be interchangeable. But all aspects of the University should be represented under some form of ND/UND logo. From there athletics can have the Sioux logo as their seperate logo. We all know that the Sioux logo will never be seen anywhere near or be related to anything academic at this university.
But it is definately important for the entire University to have 1 recognizable ND/UND logo that everyone will see and know it as the University of North Dakota.
It's not necessarily keeping athletics seperate from athletics, just having a school logo and sport logo different. If the University is sending out official documents for important educational stuff to say other parts of the world, would they want the Sioux head on there? No. On the flip side, if you combine the two identities and the logo comes out professional on paper, but weak on a jersey, would that look good on the field? No.

Our UND was the first to use it, true. It sucks that it's not seen as "our" logo across the nation. You will notice this year though, that they actually changed it by putting "SIOUX" down the N. It looks quite stupid that way. Also, the flame logo should be institutional only, you gotta have seperate identities. Plus it is not strong enough as a sports logo.

A birdy tells me that Blake's tenure in Toronto is clicking down towards zero. He's falling in the depth chart and isn't really much of a scoring threat anymore. With the new coach's system, I am not sure whether or not this will improve.
I have no inside information nor am I basing this on anything bona fide, but from watching analysis on NHL Network and the few tv broadcasts of Maple Leaf hockey, I just don't see Blake being much of a factor for much longer with the Leafs.
What's your thoughts?
Pretty much all Toronto fans I know can't stand him, sadly. Maybe it will be good for him to go elsewhere.

How about the "North Stars".

We need to ditch the all black pants, it looks too forced, and too much of a 90's gotta add black feel.
The helmet is great, but, sadly everyone thinks its a Notre Dame rip-off. Not sure what else you could put on there. They DEFINITELY need to put NORTH DAKOTA across the chest, need to get the name recogniztion out there.

From the sound of it, SCSU were just not ready to play today. Or they were scared. There was just no fire there.
-
SCSU sounds like complete horse crap right now. This game is becoming not very close.
-
It was always easy to blame SCSU's lack of NCAA success on Dahl but I can't help but wonder if they are cursed or something like that. I see no evidence of the team we saw in Grand Forks a few weeks back.
At this point, it's just gotta be in their heads.

Nice description of the "press box"

You'd think they may have worked on making sure they DON'T take penalties against the one-trick pony.
This guy is annoying too..."oohh you'll never get a better chance than that!"
5 seconds later...
"ooooohh you'll never get a better chance than that either!"
Now you know why I tried to listen to the Clarkson feed
-
Much better, thanks!
I tried the Clarkson link, but the buffering sucked, so I guess I'll listen to the hometown guys again, on LITE 99.9, home to the John Tesh radio program. I gotta suffer through this station at work all the time

What does it means to be Sioux? Throughout history, many cultures have stood out among the rest, including warrior cultures that were unique and unwavering. These cultures were both feared and admired by their enemies and have forever earned their places in history: the Spartans of Greece, the Samurai of Japan and the Sioux of North America.
There we go, our new nickname!

Lee had a great debut and was given the games third star.
And also the #1 play of the night on SportsCenter!

That is quite possibly the most ludicrous thing I have ever read. There is no way that is true, no way.
