When one speaks of the norse the first thing I think of is thor the god of thunder, so my proposition for a logo for nordics would be thor's hammer. This would be a good example.
I'll keep throwing them out there. How about Nordics.
I don't know what we could use as the logo, though. I kind of like Nordiques, but don't think UND should have the same name as an NHL team.

This year it looks like the Miami/Alabama-Huntsville game would be the one affected if the lacrosse game happens to run long. (Maryland v. UNC will be on ESPNU starting at 1:00 p.m. and the Miami game is set to begin at 3:00.)
Muwahahahahaha I will delay the lacross game so miami fans must suffer as we did!!

ok all I found this and it did work for me...
This works for some.
1) On your browser, go to Tools, then Internet Options.
2) Click the Connections tab.
3) Under this tab, go to LAN Settings.
4) Click the check Use a proxy server.
5) For the address, put: 137.99.11.87, for the port put: 3128
6) Press okay until you get back to your browser.
7) Go to ESPN360.com. If everything went right, it will say something like "Congratulations, your internet provider has ESPN360!" or something along those lines.
8) Click on the video you want.
9) Once the video is open, go back to your internet options to the proxy stage and uncheck the proxy.
If this is done correctly, it usually works, but does not work for every computer.

They will go away...it would just be dumb to keep up the chants when its not actually your nickname. It's life, move on with it. I'm sure the new nickname will be just fine and maybe the fans will be creative enough to make up new chants, I could only hope.

It's a damn nickname, people make me sick sometimes, most of the sioux tribe doesn't even deserve to be called as such, they give up, live off the government and don't try to better themselves ( as spoken by a standing rock tribe member), these are the people who hate the nickname. The nickname was given to UND in the 30's, UND has so many programs that cater to native americans, yet you want to call the school racist....heh yeah right, how about the nickname goes the programs go and they can pay for school like everyone else.
This whole issue is just retarded, why wait for 70+ years to complain about the issue....If they hated it so much they should have opposed it before it became something associated with winner's. I guess the nickname opposer's do not want to be associated with winners....whether the school wins or loses....they will always be winners.
Hell why even complain about a nickname...a nickname does not promote racism unless people give it that power, people promote racism not damn nicknames.
Everyone in the world get so offended over every little thing, people die over the same kind of useless crap, people in general need to relax and just live life, don't sweat the small stuff....like nicknames.

But anyway BU won so I'll be cheering for BU, I can deal with BU winning cause they haven't been to the frozen four since we beat them in '97

I always knew BSU had a great team, I just didn't think they could whoop on ND like they did, after last night they made me believe....and I believe they are the best team in the FF right now. I guarantee you most people will be writing BSU off against miami, I would love nothing more than to see miami get torn apart....hockey dynasty and Div 1 powerhouse my ass.
They can do this....they can win the NC

I think the case has already been made with their showing yesterday. Tom Serratore was a coach at SCSU before he came to BSU and did
a lot of the recruiting for Dahl. Notice a drop off a bit after Tom left? Serratore is a great coach and well respected around college hockey.
BSU plays a speed game, and I also think having them in the WCHA could change the style of play over the next few years from clutch and grab to a more open style like we had when the WCHA dominated the NCAA titles for years.
This is my hope, I love the open, up and down style its fun for fans to watch, we can still cycle but not a grind like cycle, a cycle like BSU has which is a speed based cycle game. ND didn't touch a BSU player during their cycle they moved thru it so fast it was fun as hell to watch.
