  1. I'm predicting roughriders over nodaks in official vote with neither having enough to win. Upon the runoff vote nodaks will win the  non roughriders voters to end up with the majority.

Id be happy with either, but the more I think about it, the more I prefer roughriders. Simply to avoid the "nodicks" chants, but I'm sure there is a negative chant I haven't thought of for roughriders as well.

  2. I really enjoyed this season. A couple of games the boys just didn't show up, but most of the time they were a lot of fun to watch. I wasn't waiting for the top line or second line to come out. I was watching them all with anticipation of something good happening. It's been a while since there has been that level of depth and it was fun.

This game was disappointing, but the gave it their all even to the end. While the outcome was not in our favor, it was still a good game. I really look forward to next season to see who steps up and fills the roles of the seniors were losing.

Ultimately, it was a great season of Sioux hockey, anyone who says otherwise is blinded by a trophy. I want it as much as the next guy, which I doubt is nearly as much as the seniors this year wanted it.

    See you guys next year!

  3. Watched the Schmaltz hit again and it looks like he was being tripped right when the other guy came in for a hit and ended up taking a knee to the head. I don't think the Miami player meant to hit like that, but it was definitely a trip that developed into a dangerous play. Can't help but to think if we were on the dealing end and not the receiving it would have been a 5min major for contact to the head.

  4. on the OT thing, I only saw DU players celebrating, did the refs signal a goal or look at a review?

The refs indeed signaled a goal when they say the DU players celebrating even though the puck was no longer in the rink. But when the puck is in the goal, they waive it off... Haha

Is there a rule at all that the officials must see the puck in the net to rule a goal? Because he did indeed signal a goal.
