13 F currently. Good / Bad news.
Good: 1 can / should be a Ness/Albrecht replacement. 14/15F with Montgomery.
Bad: Are Littler / Klee ready? If not, is there anyone in the portal worth getting? Lucius definitely, but he's been tied to ASU. The portal is really weak this year! I would rather bring in Littler / Klee early as 13F than some mediocre Portal guy.
*Montgomery is currently the only depth F. I don't want to see any of the FR (Croal, Littler, Klee) start out essentially as the 14F. If you hope for them to be contributors eventually, which I think we can all agree those three can be, then they can't start out buried. Not in 2024. We know how that'll play out.
I don’t know the Lucius’ personally but from what I’ve read and heard over the years, they might not be “Fighting Sioux “ material… Obviously very talented though. No argument there .

I think we should slide Pinto into this . First pick of 2nd round and from New York. Give the coaching staff lots of credit for landing him. That’s great recruiting . What a gem.

Blake got a great deal! Almost rookie max and basically burning this year. $2.7 million and he’s restricted free agent in just two years. Very good contract for a 4th rounder that developed into first round talent while at UND.

The deal will be the same either way, the max, just the option of choosing the team. The leverage of getting a max deal now, and probably burning a year, is pretty compelling.
Not to mention they are one of the best teams in the league at the moment. It’s not like he’s dealing with San Jose…

Don’t be surprised if Blake makes his NHL debut on Tuesday fellas.

SSM wins the U18 Natty. Zellers with 14 pts (9 goals) in 6gp.

Isn't the "Judy's Debacle" just a typical night in Grand Forks? What was different about this one?
Everyone found out about it lol

Yeah Swanson, Boisvert and Emery are turds… 2 projected first rounders and the current G/PG leader in the USHL… If Bubs could only win recruiting battles…

Why does it seem the majority of people think Blake is good enough to go pro?
He’s small and can be reckless with the puck. Can he score? Absolutely, but I don’t feel he’s close to NHL ready. I think it’d be beneficial for him to stay at least another year maybe even through senior year.
If he were to leave now, I see a Kawaguchi or Adams situation, going to AHL squad then may not even hang there but moved down to the jungle. Could be proved wrong tho.
You must mean the majority of people on a fan forum… hockey people know he’s not ready.

What has he won besides the 2004 Cup?
And that title was won before the lock out, after which a lot of rules were changed to open up the game. Torts is a relic from a different era.
Two Jack Adams Awards. I love Torts

As the third period drags on, this is getting more frustrating to watch. Can we score a goal 5 on 5?! Painful to watch. In last month we have made both CC and Omaha look like # 1 team in the country.
Well both those teams have the same amount of regulation losses as und. They’re pretty f’n good.

Where did I say he failed at it or anything? It just didn't work out for him and at his current age he isn't going to be at the top of anyone's list to hire since he has it pretty darn good at UND.
I took your “had his shot and it didn’t work out “ comment wrong then. No worries.

Nice little nugget from College Hockey Inc. today… If Jackson Blake registers a point this weekend, he will set an NCHC record for most conference points in a season.

Actually it did work for out for Berry in the NHL. He chose to leave the show on his own to return to UND and live in Grand Forks where his family was located. Young children in the house, etc. He made a good choice. He could’ve easily stayed in the NHL as an assistant.

it was for the purpose of sending him to their AHL team, not that uncommon.
And then he delivered a shut out!

The common denominator is that even the top team going into the NCAA tournament has around a 1 in 10 chance of winning the title in the current state of the game. Blaming that on the coach is frankly idiotic.
Unless it’s Bob Motzco. He flat out puckered up, choked and got out-coached in last years national championship game with the most talented team in the nation. That game was the rare 100% coaching blunder imo

I do not understand how UND has been swept this year by CC. UND has some good wins and yet has been easily handled by CC. They are the last team UND wants to play in the postseason.

Crookston co-ops with Sacred Heart for hockey. While of course Sacred Heart is located in EGF, it has a lot of students from GF.
Gotcha thanks

At least with Crookston its a co-op with a ND school, unlike the others that are recruiting.
Who does Crookston co-op with in ND?

I recommend everyone give this weeks spitten chiclets a listen. Boesers interview at the end was great but Biz’ story about the chick with the Zyn in the upper deck had me rolling. I guarantee you a good laugh here.

Are they the host school?
Read the article: three HEA teams in top four are making a schmozzle.I’m going to stop reading these dumb articles lol. I just read two more “what if the tournament started today” brackets and they both had UND in Springfield rather than Sioux Falls. We know the Sioux will be in Sioux Falls. These are almost as bad as NFL mock drafts…

Latest USCHO Bracketology addresses the issue with having UMass hosting and also currently having 3 HEA #1 seeds:
Providence, R.I.
1. Boston College
8. Denver
9. Minnesota
16. Minnesota StateMaryland Heights, Mo.
4. Maine
7. Michigan State
10. Providence
15. RITSioux Falls, S.D.
3. North Dakota
6. Quinnipiac
12. Michigan
14. CornellSpringfield, Mass.
2. Boston University
5. Wisconsin
11. Western Michigan
13, MassachusettsEven though BU and UMass are both in HEA, they could play each other in 1st round since they are five HEA teams currently in the field:
This is a tough bracket for sure.
Two very good teams in MO and Mass, and three very good teams in RI and SD.
That SD regional would definitely be more challenging than the last Bracketology. If UND got past Cornell, they'd be rewarded with a regional final of either QU or Mich.
Ouch.Wouldn’t Providence play in …… Providence?

I’m not sure on that. I would assume to stay dedicated to school and the program.
