    I'm still proud as hell to be a Fighting Sioux fan!

    Me too, I just hate seeing all this talent go down the tubes because of 1 bad game. frozen 4 should be best of 3. got to give it to BC though, they are very very fast. Maybe thats the direction of college hockey. Go for speed over size? I dunno, just bummed out right now.

    Low number of UW fans in Madison.

    We (my wife and I) were at the games too and were surprised at the number of tickets for sale outside the arena on Sunday and the dusty empty seats all around. Watching the goal scored and seeing the Sioux raise their sticks as it went in while seeing the mass of red leave the building was like Moses lifting his staff with the Red Sea parting! After the game we made our way near the tunnel. Haks came by the faithful Sioux fans with double arms pumping. As the players came through my wife gave Oshie a high five and his glove came off and the next thing I knew she was holding it! I shouted "give it back give it back!" Oshies eyes just lit up and the smiles were great from this group as they headed towards their locker room. Sad to say after attending 19 games in person this year we can't make the trip to Denver. Oh and the ride home from Madison this a.m. was very quiet. Both of us had almost no voice left from last night. It was a great weekend. Finish the Mission Sioux!

    That post gave me goosebumps as i rewatch it all on DVR!! Glad u had a great time, one that will not be soon forgotten!!

    That is soo true and for #1 to be bouncy ball teams in #1 spot of their brackets wasnt even a play...kinda lame. W/E nice to see green and white up there!

    Sweet I got my DVR going now too lol....Man I was bummed out durng the second intermission.....Really really proud of our team...heres the plays!!!!

    Thanks for actually replying to my initial inquiry, Heidi, and not just continuing to brag how Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Denver recently won titles or the fact that St. Cloud St. would destroy Miami on a Fighting Sioux website. I must admit, I don't read INCH or USCHO often enough to notice any favoritism. When it comes to teams outside the WCHA, I pretty much just see what other posters 'in the know' on our website have to say and take their word for it. As a UND alum, I'm actually quite surprised by the amount of national attention our university gets, considering our size, affiliations, and location. There have been quite a few articles in magazines like Sports Illustrated and websites like ESPN.com praising the tradition of Sioux hockey, but I'm sure schools like Michigan & BC, just to name two, do indeed get more pub due to their reputation, name recognition for casual fans, and prominent alumni.

    I agree with what you say about how many CCHA teams would fare in the WCHA. I guess rankings just don't matter to me that much. Whether you're a 4 seed or a 1 seed, you've got to win 4 games to win the title. I wanted UND to be a 1 seed this year in order to avoid CC in their home rink, but the reality is, if we wouldn't have been good enough to beat CC in Colorado Springs, then we wouldn't have had Miami to blame for "stealing" our no. 1 seed. It would have had a lot more to do with us losing to Denver in the F5 and losing to CC in the tournament. We control our own destiny in the tournament, just like every other team. If deep down under that inflated record Miami(or any other school) really is a sheep in wolf's clothing, then they won't be successful in the tournament, regardless of seeding. Michigan, which most everyone seems to agree is a legitimate title contender, appears to have the path of least resistance to the Frozen Four, but once there they still have to beat 2 of the 4 best teams in college hockey to win it all, which is what college hockey is all about.

    I completly agree with all of that. Getting to the Frozen Four isnt what its all about. Not even just to the championship game. You have to be in it to win it and 2nd place is just the 1st loser. The only thing i dislike about the NCAA's is the 1 n done format. So yes you have to "usually" play the best teams to win it all but there is alot of luck involved in a 1 n done format because the best "team" doesnt always win.

    As upset as I am about the ending to tonights game, my only consilation is that i have 2 tickets to tomorrows game....my wife had to work friday didnt have tix for tonight and i got tix for tomorrow so i wonder if my wife didnt have a little mojo going....All I have to say is "she better look like a hottie tomorrow and make this all worth it!"

    I'm not drunk at all, I distinctly remember watching our D pinch in and cause too many odd-man rushes (more than normal) and I DEFINITELY remember a plethora of screwed up break out passes that were easily picked off by St. Cloud.

    I only remember 19-20 shots on goal so i would say our D did just fine.

    The way the Sioux defense played tonight, I think Phil should be the player of the game.

    Or at least co-POTG.

    FYI, Hill Murray 3-0 over Roseau with 12:50 left in the 2nd.

    Our D was amazing....Are u retarded drunk or just normal drunk?
