Old school Sioux hockey he wouldn't have walked off the ice. I wish UMD was in our bracket in Fargo... Guy is a punk and deserves to get crushed.
That's why hockey has fighting, not the Tie Domi vs. Probert staged tough guys squaring off... But to police the dirty players when the refs refuse to.

It's your jersey to do with as you please. I have no qualms about it. But, I'm going to put it in a way that may explain the feelings of others who also collect game-used jerseys, or other similar collectibles. To many of us it'd be like saying "Hey, I like the Constitution, but I'd really LOVE the Constitution if it said 'We the Dog Lovers' instead of 'We the People', so let me take this handy eraser and make a quick fix." It's just something that is probably for the best not to do because now you can't change it back and ever have it be the same. If it was a retail jersey and not a game-worn jersey, I don't think you'd see anyone have any complaints because it doesn't have any history attached to it.
I have no complaints with what you did as it is your right to do what you did, but just thought I'd try to explain it in a way that made a little sense on where some of the folks are coming from.
I understand, don't need it explained, but still don't care if some self proclaimed jersey wonk doesn't like it. Just sayin'...

Taking the original logo off of a game worn jersey and putting on a logo that was never worn with that jersey or that style. That's what makes me cringe.
Well Defauw liked it when he signed it and I couldn't care less if you "cringe" or not.

The way I see it if someone is offering the X (or any venue) a contract for 5 solid years vs a contract that is one year at the X and a year at the Joe and back at the X.
A smart person takes the guarantee of a 5 consecutive year contract - because I'm sure the NCHC or WCHA will make other arrangements and not schedule around the pig10 every year.
Also with more than enough local teams it should pay off. The only thing I am not sure of is the TV contract, that could be enough $$$ to make the X agree to an every other year deal...

I like how HD Internet streaming is somehow going "backward" in technology.
if they had an app for roku or something I might think about it, but hooking up a laptop to my tv. Not interested.
I love how some people on here think going from a national tv deal to a webcast is progress. hooray for progress.

Why not get the webcasts? I got very spoiled by being able to watch all the home games on FCS, but I can't anymore so the webcasts are a viable alternative. Quality is excellent. I think you are a fair weather fan. I find it just as easy to watch as turning on the TV.
So now I have to sit at my computer to watch the sioux games for 2 hours and I have to pay $60 for a webcast, that I was previously paying about the same amount to have on my tv where I could record the games and watch them at my leisure. Convenience counts for something and webcasts aren't for me.
I'll bet the danny kristos aren't watching webcasts. they're watching HD gopher games...

Not saying I wouldn't go to the X to watch, but I don't know automatically where they are in the standings or who they play this weekend...
I will never forget them, but I don't find them high on the priority list anymore this year...
No more Friday is gameday, cause I just can't watch them...

Here's the sad truth, I used to watch the home games in MSP, paying $10/month for the sports pack to get Fox sports PAC/ATL/... I watched most games.
This year without the ability to watch, I haven't followed the Sioux like I have since the mid 90's. I don't even know who the freshman are...
They need to fix this or they will become forgotten with alums and recruits... or maybe it's just me

After watching lots of hockey the past two weeks here are my $.02
Western did to us exactly what they did to Michigan a week ago, except we hung on and won. They are physical and like to grind it out.
From what I can tell it was a trapping D that was difficult for Michigan and UND to get through. THey iced the puck lots to keep the flow of the game slow. and clodded up the middle well.
BU didn't seem at all as physical and seemed more like a gopher team that would rather just skate than hit.
So I wouldn't say UND is playing bad just that WMU wanted a slow it down game...
If the Sioux bring the physical and don't take penalities they can win, gofers took 9 penalities today. I think BU had 2 majors but not sure.
The gophers D are not as good as western IMO, but Western doesn't have the gophers forwards either...
It will be a nail biter and first team to score will win.
