did any one else notice your mis printed tickets. Tradtion usually has the previous years winner as the background, but for the 2nd year in a row they have the SIOUX picture on them. Look close and you will see PRP make an appearance

Its too bad this has happened, but I can't say I have much sympathy for this kid. He and he alone made the choice to use drugs. And its not like he was smoking weed either (not like thats any better, not exactly deadly), he was shooting heroin. I can't imagine the U would've pulled his scholly just cause he got hurt either, so he had that going for him.
I agree that no one should feel sorry for him. I just dont think ripping on him helps the matter. He only did it to himself, but he obvioulsy has a serious problem. And before anyone says it I know he will not read this board. I just expect us to be above ripping in this type of a situation. I am sure it is just my expactations that are wrong.

If not I hope you don't have kids, or I hope you get sensitivity training before you do. Sad story and it is too bad that people have to go through things like this, try some compassion

The # 4 goalie was actually Steve "pit" Peters NOT Daryn Fossand who was a defensman. But they were both teamates in high School at Bemidji with the late George Pelewa

If you're watching CSTV have you noticed that they have not used the phrase fighting sioux or even sioux in their broadcast it's always UND or North Dakota also they don't use the Indian head on their scoreboard just the ND
I noticed the same thing. Also is it just me or do they have longer between period time so they can play more commercials? or am I just impatient?

Just another instance of the team leaders not leading by example. This "rock-star" attitude that some of these players have has me disgusted lately. Frankly, I thought the coaching staff would have taken care of this by now. As I'm aware of the "rule violation" in question, I have to say GROW UP!
My 8 year old doing this sort of thing would not be acceptable at all, and to see a high profile member of the Sioux Hockey team do this crap is sickening... and really makes me question the maturity and integrity of this team.
I expect a similar release from the UNH camp.
I am curious why you expect the same thing from UNH? I dont know a lot about what happened but did they fight or something?

I just heard that PA and Dubay are having an auction and giving away 2 tix to that nights game and have 3 sioux jerseys signed by the team up for auction at buffalo wild wings. Just heard it on the radio here in fargo
Does this mean they are doing the morning show at the long haul and hanging out at BWW after that? I can make it to GF until after noon and I am curious if there will be festivities after noon?

Marty kicks some serious a$$. I remember him being one the first players that really stuck out (one of my favorites) when I first got to UND 1993.
I agree Marty was kind of like an original Prpich very scrappy and a little irritating to opponents, but we loved him because he wore the correct Jersey
I also have had the pleasure of knowing him as Mr. Schriner at my sons junior high. He was a VERY GOOD teacher who changed young impressionable lives. I have also seen him recently as a hockey coach and his love of the game is so obvious Truly tragic and sad.

Is anyone besides me just plain disappointed with the WILD loss. I expected it but in the Spring once the SIOUX are done and then the WILD I then actually have to fertilize the lawn and work in the honey do list. I feel like I have just become a "spectator from afar" in the hockey season. Anyone else?

After what went down with the reffing and how dirty the Ducks played, I have a feeling that the Wild will win the next one.
smoggy I agree, I dont think the wild can win the series but I think they will make the ducks earn it. I am WAY unimpressed with the way the ducks cheap shotted Johhson at the end. They are a very good team but I think they just gave the WILD some life and incentive

Goon I know this game probably bored you but the wild played a GREAT game and I am glad to see they won. I agree they have there work cut out for them but I like how they didnt roll over. I think the DUCKS were cheap at the end and that the refs were awful and then some. I really want the WILD to win game 5 because I am going to game 6 if it exists. But I would like to hear thoughts of anyone who watched the 3rd period because the WILD were awesome and the refs were NOT

Heh. I agree. The one thing I tell my father (a big Wild fan whom I watched last night's game with) is that Detroit won't get much farther with Geriatrics. If they dumped or better yet traded as much of the old farts as they could (save Lidstrom) I think Detroit might have a down season or two but then come back even more dangerous.
Youth is one of the strengths I see for the Wild.
By the way, PM Bouchard should be on the line with Gabby. Walz has no scoring ability whatsoever. Bouchard has the passing ability Walz has PLUS can occasionally you know..score. Walz should go back to the one thing he does: Checking line play.
I think the Wild are a LOT like the Twins. At the point where they are ALMOST a title contender but unable to take the last step because of rigid adherence to a bogus system and the inability to spend the money. Sure, the Wild signed a few ok players, but most of them have been defensive players like Nummelin or Carney. Parrish has underwhelmed. Demitra turned out to be a good acquisition. They're just one or two scoring forwards shy of a Stanley Cup run. Too many checkers and role players on this team. That's why they are so frustrating for me to watch.
And Lemaire's "Defense to the point of boredom" approach has approved somewhat this year but not as much as it needs to. They're only slightly more fun to watch than Dallas (the UW of the NHL).
Sorry if I came across as harsh, but to me, this team shouldn't be as bad as it is. If a team is just flat out bad that's one thing. But a team that is on the cusp like the Wild, it's hair raising how frustrating this team is to watch because they COULD be there if they only had one or two more scorers.

I do have higher expectations from the WILD and they have built a great foundation of young players. I am jsut disappointed that this series has not been better. Anaheim is a great team and can win the whoel thing but the Wild are a good team and it should not be 3-0.I also agree that PM Bouchard would make a better center on that line. Maybe next year. Who do you think the WILD should sign this off season? They need somoene like Jason Blake, someone who can be tough and score. and to show how much more of a homer I am can you beleive they drafted AJ Thelen before Drew Stafford or Travis Zajac. AJ will never play in the NHL and they sure could use STAFFORD
They have to have a big WAR CHEST of money in the basement of the X, they sell out everything and other than the last off season they have been very ruluctant to spend it

a lot of us SIOUX fans actually like the wild and this loss kind of bites. I am not saying your game analysis is wrong just your gloating. IF any WILD fans asks why they lost the key stat in this one. Gaborik - Dmitra - Walz had ZERO shots on goal. I am actually disappointed to see them playing so bad. They are as close to an NHL team that North Dakota has since Winnipeg left so lets not kick dirt on them.Since David Hale was mentioned earlier on this string I have to ask if anyone besides me thought he played AWFUL today he took some really dumb penalites.
