  1. Keep in mind that the majority of the incoming class was drafted last year (Kristo, MacWilliam, Bruneteau, and Gleason). Knight and Mattson are 2010 players and are still developing so their draft stock won't be as high. I was told by a good source that Cichy doesn't really fit the type of player that NHL scouts are looking for (not very big and not very fast) so he isn't being drafted high either.

that is a good point that many of them were drafted last year. I still cant imagine Cichy getting passed over, he has been successful and sometimes that tells a lot more than stopwatches and scales etc.

  2. Parise gets his 43rd goal of the game. Zajac passes it passed Smaby to Parise, who snaps it in for the GWG. Bochenski was also in the lineup tonight in the Devils/Lightning game. Parise also had 2 assists, Zajac had 3.

WOW that is one heck of a game for Parise, must be some kind of record. Sorry I couldnt resist :D

  3. I'm not sure why the link isn't working for you. The Duluth/Miami game is on right now while they wait for the 2nd OT between Vermont and Air Force.

I just figured out that it was my antivirus software blocking it. Your comment triggered something in my mind so thank you :(

Cutter I have ESPN classic so thank you as well ;) I have it on the big screen

  4. The whole team slumped after the Sunday afternoon OT win vs. Colorado College. The goal vs. Duluth in the Final Five was a boneheaded mistake, but there were a lot of odd-man rushes and powerplay goals that he couldn't do much about. Sometimes I think goalies get too much credit and also too much blame. You win as a team and lose as a team.

this is so very true, i just want him to be a championship goalie next year and I just didnt get the opportunity to see enough of him this year

  5. Not if you anticipate a sophomore slump. It happened with Kangas. It happened with Bachman. I'm not sure about Stalock because his team last year wasn't very good to begin with.

Oh, it also happened with Muse from BC.

I think Eideness's sophmore slump started a little early :( I will admit I only saw him play 4 or 5 games but 3 of them were in the last 10 days and I do not see him as a championship goalie, I really hope I am wrong

  6. I am not trying to pick on him, but did Kozak play today? I dont remember hearing his name one time. and to think last year at this time we were wondering if he would come back or not. The only good news about the end of the season is that now the sun will start to shine daily

  7. An awesome line from from hockey buzz.com and they speak highly of chorney

The Sens are very interested in Erik Cole and the Oilers feel that Jason Spezza is a great fit with the current speedy young line-up. Of course Cole is a pending UFA and an extension would have to be first worked out. Also, the Sens would like a prospect d-man in the deal as well."

Another source agreed adding, "The Sens have made it known that they love Taylor Chorney."

Chorney is the Redden Replacement that the Sens could use. He is a heck of a prospect who many feel will be as good as Redden if not better. He is another member of that killer University of North Dakota team from the last few years, although this year he has been in the AHL for Springfield.

  8. The real question is now....

Can we beat MTU? :D What a sad question...

I would love to beat Red (again). I hate Michigan. I hate BC. I hate Minnesota. I hate Denver. Our chance to beat Michigan is gone for this year's regular season. Our chance to really improve on our OOC record against quality opponents is shot.

This year will take a miracle unlike the previous years for us to make a serious run at a playoff spot. It's by no means impossible, but we have to play like a top tier team through the WCHA tourney. I'd hate to have to rely on the conference tourney to make the playoffs, but it's really looking like that will be our only option.

wow the way the SIOUX played today you would have thought it was the frozen four. This team does continue to disappoint. I know it has been mentioned but where has Duncan been? From Hobey to 3rd line player at best. Nice kid and I am glad he stayed, at least we know why now. OK enough ripping I just needed to get it off my chest. Different question, what do you think the odds are that our favorite SIOUX team is even at the final five, yet alone win it

  9. The one that has a band concert on right now or whatever? I think its public access?

I'm on campus (actually, a block south east), so I'm hoping that's it. I need something to carry me over from Duke/Michigan basketball to Gopher hockey.

are you sure it is on in the twin cities? Does than mean sensors may show it even if it is not on FSSN
