Absolutely. There was a whistle after a JPL stop in front of the Sioux net earlier in the period, the kind were a scrum usually develops and neither team was pushing or shoving. Good to see that respect between both teams. Since there is no whipping boy this year yet, I'll through it out there: wonder if that would have been the case with Radke on the ice?

JPL has got a little bit of Goehring in him, doesn't he. He just loves leaving that crease. I guess if he continues to play like Karl when he's in the crease, I certainly won't complain.

No doubt. This is only the 2nd game I've seen this year, with MSU being the first one. The thing that has impressed me is the crispness of our passing. We're hitting our guys on the stick every time it seems, whereas against MSU, even though we scored 6 goals, we struggled to break out of our zone at times.

4-1 Sioux 2nd intermission. We've really played very well. Our D has gotten caught cheating up on the play a few times, giving CC a couple of odd man rushes the other way, but when they've stayed home, the D has been great. I think this is an even more impressive performance thus far than the MSU game. I know that was 6-0, but through 2 periods, we've dominated in all aspects of play. However, 40 minutes does not a hockey game make. We've still got 1 more to play, so I hope we play disciplined UND hockey!

Duncan had a nice chance for the hat trick, but O'Connell was in position. Full strength.

Couldn't ask for a better first period. CC outshot us 9-6 and had a few nice chances where JPL had to make great saves, but the majority of this game was played in CC's defensive end. I'll take 3 goals on 6 shots every period from here on out! Great job playing smart and staying out of the box, as well. WCHA refs love to penalize a team to opening up a lead, but so far, we haven't taken any stupid ones. Keep it up for 2 more and get 2 points boys!
