Even strength! Now just get 1 back before the end of the period, get to the locker room, let Hak chew some but and put on a hockey 101 clinic on how to protect your own blue line. Then come out and put it all together in the 3rd.
It was a great pass from Finley. Right on the stick. Those are the things we seem to be doing extremely well for this early in the year, at least compared to previous seasons.
Surprise, surprise. Genoway is caught with pants down again. Memo to the Sioux. CC can skate, so don't put yourself in a position where you have to skate with a forward just to get back into the play!
We're back. Let's see some CC skaters stood up at the blue line rather than skating into our zone freely while we scramble to catch up and we'll be fine. UND's top line is gonna assert itself this period.
It is kinda funny isn't it. Despite being outshot last night in the 1st, we still outplayed them and I think we did so again tonight. Hockey is a funny game.
This game is playing out a lot like last night, to be honest with you. We're getting decent chances, it's just last night we got away with being undisciplined and joining the rush, whereas tonight, we don't have anything to show for it.
I was just gonna say Duncan probably deserves POG and Sweeney made it official, but I think JPL deserves a lot of credit too. CC has a couple of early opportunities on odd man rushes and he easily turned them aside. We dominated the first period, but actually got outshot. Phil had a big hand in that. Last year, one of those probably turns into a goal for CC and the whole complexion of the game changes.
I agree. I keep hearing the name Walski and it's always right in front of the Sioux net. I keep wondering when we pulled JPL each time till I realize it's CC's Walski.
