Annoyed me both nights....a Wisconsin jackass fan yelling "go hawks", or "let's go Hawks"! He was doing it in spite, driving many of us Sioux fans in front of him nuts. He cheered for Denver, then QU. He was yelling at people for standing during the game, very annoying person and some of his buddies also. Too bad, he was taking away from our beautiful night!

    Was still a great night!

I hope they had fun making their way through the ecstatic UND fans as they left.

  2. good article

North Dakota's path to the Frozen Four went through the hottest team in the country (a Northeastern team they dismantled in the first round), the team with the best regular-season line in the country (a Michigan team the team's depth picked apart in the regional final), the only team that beat them twice this year (a Denver team they choked out on Thursday), and the team with the best record in the country. They finished the NCAA tournament with 21 goals for just seven against in four games.

Can't knock the hustle on that. That's what the best team in the nation does.

  3. Not sure where to put this comment. Watching the Denver Providence game late, Leleggia just hit a Providence player but got him in the head cuz his head was down, got a 5 min major. Now how are gou spose to hit a guy with his head down without getting a major, thats gonna show players to skate with your head down and act hurt if your hit. Its frustrating cuz its putting the resposibilty of the guy with his head down in the other players hands

It's putting the responsibility for executing a legal hit on the player initiating the hit, as it should be.

I'm sorry but this whole "keep your head up" thing is a thing of the past and I think it's a good thing.

By all means, keep your head up so you can make a play, but you can't just break a rule because a guy's head is in a certain spot or because he's looking down.

  4. Can anyone help me? I do not have TV service nor a TV. I have been watching the UND games via NCHC TV webcast. Tonight when I log into nchchockey.com and click the video it sends me to the ESPNU link where it asks me for my affiliated provider. NCHC TV is not on the list and I have tried midco. Is there any way I can sign up for a webcast for these games?

    Xbox live and gold account?

    Does that still work? Anyone?

He might as well follow in the footsteps that Jonathan Toews took  . He would excel in the college ranks just as much as he would going major junior.

With how young Toews was when he came to UND, I'm guessing he accelerated his education as well?

Alas, it's most likely a pipe dream.

Was watching NHL Hockey Central on NHL Network just now and the host was talking about a top prospects game in Vancouver and naming the players that will be there and he said sort of jokingly "and maybe even Auston Matthews, after perhaps turning down such colleges as North Dakota"

And then former Wolverine Billy Jaffe was like "maybe there's another college besides North Dakota there"

And the host said " I think everyone's after Auston Matthews". And then the topic changed.

Don't know if it means anything, or if he was just picking a great school for an example. Still pretty cool.
