Their media has already got confused. Said we were 3-3-1 vs FBS teams

Actually, I've seen it reported as an all-time 3-3-1 record against current Mountain West teams. It appears that they are missing a couple of games, as I believe UND's actual record against current Mountain West teams is 3-5-1: Wins against Wyoming & Nevada, 1-1-1 vs. UNLV and losses against: Fresno State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah State.

  2. My wife can't make the game in Boise, so I have an extra ticket that I need to dispose of. The ticket was purchased directly on Boise's website for $75; I attempted to dump it through their app today, but they wouldn't let me list it for less than $84 (they still have tickets left at $75).

The ticket itself is on the 35 yard line, ten rows up, but I would imagine you would have no problem using it as an extra ticket to get in and then sit in the visitor's section (111, I believe) - I may end up doing this myself.

Make me an offer, I'm very willing to give it up to another UND fan at an extremely discounted price. Thanks.

  3. Massey has us at #9 while only having a 6-5 record (counting UNI as a loss at 49%). For those of you who discount the use of computer rankings, let me point out that after the Drake game last year Massey predicted the winner of every UND game for the remainder of the season and was within a few points of the actual spread on all games with the exception of one where UND performed approximately 7 points better (SDSU) and one approximately 7 points worse (I can't recall which game).

This said, a win against UNI (49%) and a road win at Southern Illinois (44%) would do wonders for the confidence of this team and likely produce a winning and game finishing mentality that wasn't there last year.

I’ll be curious to see how many UND fans and how many empty seats there will be. Prices are certainly for profit but I think they scared off or pushed away people who would have otherwise attended given closer to normal ticket price.

This is me. I promised my wife that we would see a live hockey game for the first time in 25 years (Dec. '96 OT home victory over C.C.) thinking that we could catch a series at Denver or C.C. (before realizing how difficult reasonable tickets are to obtain). We've since made other plans. Hopefully they play in Denver next year (although we will be attending the ASU game in Vegas beforehand).

  5. Just a heads-up, anyone planning on to go to the game in Logan needs to look for a room now! There are no standard hotel rooms available in Logan on Friday night, and only a few private listings available. The Howard Johnson in Brigham City, 30 minutes away, currently has one room available.

Gotta beat the team that kept us out of the playoffs in ‘15 and ‘18

Precisely! The opening game is exactly four months away. That game in 2019 sucked; time to make the Bengals pay. I've been waiting a long time to attend the first two games this coming season. At least it appears that they may be able to play a respectable game in Logan the following week.

Gonna be in Vegas this Saturday and Salt Lake City the next. With the Espn3 hookup might actually have some options of watching our next two games somewhere. At least I know at a minimum I got my laptop in the hotel room.  Anyone got any suggestions? Mainly wondering about SLC, got an idea on my Vegas options.

Both of theses game are scheduled to be on ESPN+, I don't believe that ESPN3 will have a stream for either of these games. ESPN+ is only $5.99 per month and you could cancel immediately after.

In the late 70s I recall that prior to Tim whoever they had left for a hockey job in San Diego. I think Tim was promoted and the rest is history. It was KNOX that had the games back then, again just my memory.

I believe this is correct. Tim mentioned who it was and what he was doing on one of his two appearances on the Sit Down and Cheer.Podcast.

Just doing some investigating, I wonder if Blaze Nield PG from BYU is of interest. Noticed that Sather follows him and he follows Mihailovic. Didn't do much at BYU.

Another player that stood out when doing some "creeping" was Duoth Gach from NDSCS. Liked his film and he was named the Mon-Dak Player of the Year.

Although Blaze hasn't done much at BYU, he averaged 21 pts, 5 rebounds and 4 assists as a freshman at JUCO Utah State U. Eastern. He has a highlight tape on YouTube for anyone that is interested.

I know it's still super early, but how is that possible, especially when you have Baylor at 175, Notre Dame at 177, etc., etc.?  I guess I'm just not that familiar with the RPI.

Even worse is that UND currently is 10th and Arizona 13th, despite Arizona's 32 point win over UND.

The committee used a SoS and UND's was higher the Western Illinois.  But the emotion of the tough M Valley  and the Big Fluff and the Big Fluff rep was from Idaho StateWe were burnt twice.

Yeah, I forgot about that. I got the impression that Idaho State's AD Jeff Tingey was against UND being in the conference. I know for sure that coach Kramer was, as he stated in a couple of interviews that he didn't like UND being in the conference.

  12. It is my belief that computer rankings play a considerably larger part in the selection than most believe. To me, what actually what lost the bid in 2015 is the same thing that can prevent a bid in 2019: the loss to Idaho State.

In 2015 UND was hurt considerably in the ratings by being Idaho State’s only division 1 win. Although I’m sure there was immense pressure by the MVFC representative, Western Illinois was able to squeak in because they had a higher computer ranking despite being 6-5 and losing 59-7 with NDSU playing the entire game with a backup quarterback.

This year the circumstances are similar. Last week Massey had UND ranked 14th and then dropped them to 18th this week. It wasn’t teams such as Montana State and Eastern Washington jumping UND that brought the dip, it was the loss by Idaho State at home to Northern Colorado preceded by a loss to Southern Utah that brought the sizable drop.

  13. Living in Utah and will be attending my first home game since graduating in the mid 90s (luckily the Big Sky has let me see 30+ road games in all sports over the past number of years). Driving up with my wife and two kids from the Cities this morning. Would like to purchase 4 tickets (around face value) that are not being used that would be better than what would be available at game time. Thank you.
