Wilbur rant*
It was 60 bleeping below with 30 mph winds and white out conditions one day when I was at UND...
President Kupchella: "We have shuttle buses operating all day. We are open."
Yep, I was there for three plus days of over 60 below wind chill and on the third day they called class.

Earlier had sad High Point was aiming higher in athletics in another thread and got a flack for that. High Point U wants the CAA but doesn’t want football as there are so many teams in N.C. Hockey would set it apart in N.C. and the tuition and room ($51.5 k) isn’t so much to turn off North East students. With M/W lax, M/W soccer and now ice hockey, resembles NE schools like Denver does.
Probably a very smart move. Just not sure if North Carolina cares about hockey.

What did he honestly contribute that any other guy can't step right in and provide?
Exactly.

He stepped into a difficult situation for sure, and had to make tough decisions, which he did. But I don't think he really wanted to be at UND other than a spot on his resume. He came off as a jerk. I won't be sorry to see him go.
He was not well liked.

Good riddance to this POS.

If the roles were reversed on that goal, we would all be screaming for goaltender interference.

Gotta love this team. Gets grade A chance and misses the net. The worst thing you can do is miss the net but they can't seem to figure that out.
Been saying that for the past 3 years. This team couldn't hit water falling out of a boat.

That was exactly the same check that the Denver player hit on the UND player about 2 seconds earlier.

Thought maybe with all the negativity I could provide a little distraction with this thread. Planning to go down to Omaha for the series(yes I am a glutton for punishment). I haven't been since they played at the Clink. Wondering if people can provide some recommendations with the new digs:
- Good hotel/area to stay, next to Baxter or no? Would like to be near bars nightlife, other Sioux fans.
- Restaurants to visit before after the game
- Any activity people recommend Saturday morning/early afternoon before the game?
- Best part of the rink to sit for the games?
Appreciate all recommendations(unless it's to stay home ). Here's to hoping we'll be riding a winning streak going into Baxter!
Look up the old school Italian restaurants around downtown.
