    I'd be curious to know what happened there. Did Minot bench a bunch of people? I watched both of those teams yesterday and Minot played way better than Century. I know it's a letdown to play in the consolation bracket, but you should still beat teams that you're way better than, not lose by five goals.

    Because he fears change. I am from the East and love to see teams from the East succeed. But, I want whats best for the game. I hope the teams in the West continue to improve and are able to provide more teams that can compete on a consistent basis with the likes of GFRR, FSH, Grafton, North, Central, etc.

    The truth is the west is down this year. Not many impact players and overall talent is lacking. Bismarck has a few good players but no one really stands out except Hillman maybe Labere. Century, though gritty has no standouts. Minot had a team filled with inexperienced players. Williston had a real lack of Depth. Hazen has disappeared, Mandan is a joke, Dickinson is the same. Bottineau looks to be improving but maybe that is just because the others have declined so much. Jamestown blew the best opportunity to go to state in forever by being goons. Without an increase in the numbers of youth players there will not be much increase in the prospects for the west region.

    This has to be a joke? Recruits? are you kiddin me? You try to find me a person who doesnt have aids that would actually go to a west school. O well at least williston almost won, and the shots were close. The west is bad, Wilbur, prove me wrong.h

    Its HS dipchit, Recruits? I know GF and Grafton have recruited in the past so they could win but in all reality how often does it happen.

    Someone wants to start a legitimate thread and you have to go and blast it right away. GO AWAY.

    There's no way they're quaking...Williston has never even been close to being in this kind of situation and there is a LOT of hockey to be played - they'll crack under the pressure that RR is about to put on them. There's no way that Williston holds a lead...I still say RR by double digits.

    I agree. (forgot to put a sarcasm mark in about the quaking) Boldt should end up with more saves than Knutson.

    Century is not even in South's class. This is very typical of a Fargo South team...play close to a lesser-skilled team for a while until they get a wake up call...watch what happens here in the 3rd.

    As a westerner I have watched the West decline over the past few years the quality of players top to bottom has dropped off.

    Knutson must be standing strong to have only given up 3 goals with 38 shots on net. Century doesn't generate any offense and will have problems scoring anymore goals on South. South held Bismarck to 3 shots on goal earlier in the year and won a game that Hillman had 50 plus saves. Definately a surprise that Century is still close.

    Come to think of it, that's probably not too bad because I wouldn't be watching the 2 consolation games tomorrow morning, but I would like to watch today's games.

    Its the ND NBC stations. They show all opening round games of the GD basketball tourney but won't for hockey. I know you may have some lopsided games in the first round but the same holds true for BB.
