The game was intense the whole way through. South never had the lead until the last 1.9 seconds of the game. Sand had some spectacular saves, you would think he's been playing varsity for the past couple years. -

Arnason has played very well this season which his stats undoubtedly show. However, Arnason has arguably the best defensively minded team in the state in front of him and then if you compound that with the fact that RR schedule is by far the easiest faced by a top EDC team it is not very surprising to see how well Arnason is doing. Also you should note that Arnason has 1/3 to 1/2 as many shots that other top goal tenders have faced. These next few games though will be a good oppurtunity for Arnason to show what hes made of, but until then I don't think you can say he is the best in the state. -

I was at the game and both DL and GPR played tough. It was a battle the whole game. I just think Grafton has a better team with strong forwards and strong goaltending with Sand averaging about 1 goal a game for the past 10 games. DL looked like a fast pace team and I predict they will take the 4th seat in the state behind GPR RR and South. I look forward to seeing RR and GPR play on saturday. -

I think it will be very funny if DL beats RR, top EDC teams just don't lose to Devils Lake. RR has proven that they are a beatable team though by squeaking through some close games against poorer teams. I can't wait to see when GPR and RR play in the beginning of January. I think GPR could very well pull out a win. Alex Gausted has already called the first goal, sniping Arnason high glove and breaking his water bottle. The rest of GPR's offense will finish Arnason off with several more goals, finishing the route and leaving Arnason with a very burnt neck. Arnason hasn't proven anything yet playing very poor teams and I predict he will be nothing special when he goes up against decent teams. -

I sincerely apologize for offending people on this predominantly Red River sight. Grafton may not demolish RR when they play them, but it will be a good game pitting GPR's offense v. RR defense. I'm sorry but South is the only team in the state that can be classified in a league of their own at the moment. RR isn't nearly what they are hyped up to be, the only thing they have is good defense who in turn make their goalie look half decent, and give their offense a chance. I saw RR goalie play in Fargo in the fall; I wasn't at all impressed with him when he didn't have strong defense in front of him. -

Well if you mean minot, shanely, jamestown, and barely beating West Fargo you just prove my point even more. -

South should definetly be ranked number one right now base on the games they have played and the teams they beat. I don't see how you can rank DL over Grafton though when Grafton beat DL. I also don't see why everyone thinks Red River is so good when they barely beat WF and East Grand. Grafton blew WF away when they played them. I think the interesting game will be when Grafton demolishes RR. -

That is someting new. WF being a good team? I thought Grafton just beat them 7-3 and WF was on the road the team has a 1-4 record right now. -

You can tell GPR is down this year? I dont see how you can say that. It was the first game of the season. I was at the game and I saw both teams shaky, Diechart had a good game, and from what I saw the refs were looking more for Grafton to take a penalty than South. Grafton has 11 sophmores on the team who haven't played a varsity game before and as the season goes on I see them improving to be a tough team to beat. -
