  1. I don't think anyone wants to bestow sainthood on him. I think some of us question why "St. Phil" gets blamed for everything bad that happens to this team, while Anthony Greico (who is nothing special at this point in his career) gets a free ride from some people on this forum.

People talk about Greico taking us to St. Louis; I think Greico has a better chance of being the next Josh Sievebieda than the next Aaron Schweitzer. Of course, I used to think Jordan Parise was average at best, so I could be wrong about Greico. But I have a feeling that I am not. ;)

Bottom line, with Parise earning paychecks, Lamoreaux is our best bet to win and make a playoff run.

Phil has been playing good of late and has allowed some questionable goals, that being said, Grieco has only played a minimum of games as a Freshman, that one would expect playing for a team such as the Sioux. Why not hold all this judgement until the kid gets the opportunity to show us just how he can perform?? Are we talkng about the same Grieco who was awarded rookie of the week his second weekend playing against St. Cloud and has winning average of 580%.

Phil is our go to goalie until someone can show he coaching staff that they are capable of the job. The coaching staff needs balance with goaltending going into the playoffs.

  2. I should have added that Chorney should be credited, but we know how the official scoring goes in these tournaments.

Chorney just got credited for the goal !

  3. Hak is showing us that he is desperate, pulling the goalie without reviewing the play, what woud have happen if the goal was called back?? Do you put Grieco's back in or leave Lammy in! How does that play with the players mind, don't you think the players are thinking the same questions?

  4. There is one major differance between last yaer and this year, and it is not on defense, forward or Goaltending. We let the wrong coach leave for greener pastures. Boomer is the missing link as to this teams struggles.

    So true :)

  5. Geeze...why don't you tell us how you really feel.

Now that you have slept on it, don't ya think your comments are a little harsh? Give Plil a little respect. He may not be winning the games for us, but then again, neither are the forwards and d-men. When you are the coach, I guess you can put whomever you feel is most competent in the net for us.

The game is played with five players!!! just not a goalie :)

  6. I actually think it would be easier to recruit a goalie than can stop the puck than trying to replace blue chippers Stafford, Zajac and Spirko.

It becomes dificult to recruit a goalie to come in and take over as your #1 postion, it becomes a crap shoot if you take a look throughout the league all of the freshmen goalies have about the same GAA and save percentage. It looks like the coaching staff had Lammy being the go to guy and plans to integrate Greico and have Walski as backup. If you take a look at the freshmen goalie recruits that came in this year they were all top players in their league, some will develop quicker then others, and it will depend on how much playing time they get to develop.

  7. I see a little of what your saying, but if the sioux play grieco they might lose too anchorage. O wait that already happened.

Since you continue to highlight the "freshmen" Grieco's lack of skill who has only played six games so far in college, let me share with you my findings of his junior season Grieco had, since you really don't follow hockey in Ontario,

The point I'm making is, that Grieco comes with credentials!

Defenseman Ian Maracle leads all Duke blueliners with 11 goals and has been rock hard steady in the back end.

Goaltender Anthony Grieco with the third lowest GAA in the East Division at 2.58

I am not saying that Grieco is better then Lammy! Lammy is the go to guy until someone steps up and takes opportunity.

    Go Sioux Go!!

  8. Phil should be taking a lot of the blame as well as Grieco for the play in their play in the nets, they both have sucked. Both has had small glimmer of decent goaltending but as a whole they have not been good. Giving up almost 4+ goals a game is not good. Also taking stupid penalties at crucial times is not good.

    NICE!!

We are blaming Grieco for six games that he has played in which the team earned 7 of out the possible 12 points. For a freshman who earned rookie of the week on the second weekend, we keep painting Grieco with the same brush as Phil. Let's give him a chance to prove himself because his record last year shows the kid can play.

  9. Here is why. He is from Grand Forks, ND so that makes him untochable in some eyes, some how they have this notion he is the next KG. Obviously he is not. I am ready to take out lumps with Grieco and see what we can get in the offseason recruiting. If Brandt has to sit on the bench his senior years with better numbers than Phil so be it. I would take Jake back at this point.

Like I said earlier, we should have goalies lined up that want to play here (good ones), UND should be like players wanting to play football at FSU, Miami or Florida. If Wisconsin has a shut down goalie why can't UND?

It doesn't make any sense to me. I want to see a talented big goalie from B.C. or Alberta say about 6'3" 190+ that covers the net pees ice water and has a GAA of about 1.96 and a Save percentage of .940

We our taking it out on Grieco that has only played 6 six games in the year and has come out with 7 of the 12 points possible points and was rookie of the week on this second weekend of play, I guess that is what you consider lumps? I know this is a team sport and we keep focusing on the goalies and not on the team as a whole.

  10. nope. Looks fine

As long as you are aimed at the satellite, about 15 minutes before game time if you bring up that transponder, the bars at the bottom will be green (shall we say Sioux green) :silly: instead of red

Then you can scan it in. (do a manual scan)

    Thanks,

I am still not receiving anything under dish setting , I don't get any level or quaility signal..

    any thoughts !!

  11. Question,

I have just purchased a coolsat 5000 platinum unit. I'm new at trying to set this up for the upcoming hockey season?? I am trying to edit the system to recognize intelsat Americas 8 at 89.0W.

Under manual scan the frequency should it be at 12.044

    symbol rate at 4.880

    polarization at v

    search type at all

    network seach off.

Am I doing this correctly?? Any advise would be helpful!

Thank you, getting excited about Sunday's game, hope we to see it!!!

  12. read the posts above

K means KU band (which is what we use)

17 means the transponder in the sky

its just a bunch of techno stuff. As Baron Von raschke would say "This is all you need to know"

    12044 freq

    V polarity

    4880 symbol rate

    same satellite (whew)
