  1. If you have tickets throw them up for sale now.  Just made about 40% profit selling mine.   Would much rather be watching the Sioux in the FF.  But guess I’ll put that money away for Boston FF next year.

  2. Just checked online  all sections a of the upper bowl have seats.  There is no maximum purchase for priority leve buyers so if anyone wants upper bowl tickets, PM me.  If you want to Venmo me money I would buy them for you.

Has anyone tried getting frozen four tickets via the ticketmaster/ncaa route?

I got mine through there.  However as of this morning you have to have a priority level of D or higher.  I thought I read sometime next week they will open to the general public if anything else is available.

  4. Need a single ticket for the regionals - location does not matter okay with paying a premium price.  I have references if needed I have bought and sold tickets to previous regionals and frozen fours with other members on this site in the past.  Please pm any availability.  Thanks!!

It's true - I was in Arizona this Weekend and ran into numerous people talking FB and draft and very few even talking about Hockey = the Phoenix paper never showed ANY of the Hockey scores and it's to go to the Frozen Four??

Yet the Phoenix area has a chain of bars, RT O'Sullivans that are packed for Sioux games.  Coach Tippet of the Coyotes is a UND grad.  And Auston Matthews the #1 pick in next year draft is from the area.  Never hear of bison or 1aa football out there though unless it's an old story about Kurt Warner going to Northern Iowa.  Arizona is not a good example to support your ndsu love - there are two D1 teams out here already, they don't watch 1-AA better chance of running in to transplanted hockey fans than tier 2 football

  6. I have an extra ticket it section 306 row 7.  I can do either just the Thursday ticket or both days.  If you are interested please PM me asap.  I would rather sell this to a Sioux fan than throw it on stubhub.  I will be selling for significantly less than stubhub (basically just my cost and shipping cost, if you are not near me).

  7. Has anyone else not received their tickets in the mail?  I have been patiently waiting I was going to email the NCAA or call the TD Garden.  Thought I would check with you all first.

I would check on your tickets, especially if you bought early with a priority number, I received mine maybe 6 weeks ago.

  8. Im going to be in phoenix that weekend anyone have any ideas on a sports bar I could go to with the opportunity of running into some Sioux fans?  Maybe Az Sioux has an idea

Check out RT O'Sullivan's - owned by UND grads they will have basically every TV in the bar on the game.

  9. ask steve alford and new mexico if long term contracts mean anything anymore...bennett will go anywhere if the money is right and if he feels it gets him closer to his ultimate goal of being an nhl coach (if in fact that is his ultimate goal).

Steve Alford is a jerk, there was a reason his wife kicked him out and he was living in a hotel in iowa city in his last years there. But that is irrelevant to Sioux hockey, just hoping we can get some finishers at the forward position next year. Tired of seeing all these shots high and missing the net, or running into a hot goalie, not asking for another DOT line (although that would be great), just a few guys that when they get the puck in the slot, they bury it. I am not a huge Hakstol fan, but can't fault him for Grimaldi consistently missing the net, can't score if you don't hit the damn net.

  10. There is RT O'Sulivan's in Mesa (not the nicest town but good bar food and always show the Sioux). I don't know if RT's West Valley locations are Sioux Bars, but most any sports bar can pull up ESPNU these days, I have watched some good and some bad games out here in the East Valley during regionals the last few years. If you can make it out to Scottsdale and Shea Rd I would highly recommend Fate Brewery, great craft beer, pizza, and the owners and most of the bartenders are very big hockey fans. If you call ahead they will give priority to hockey over basketball. That's where I watched the Sioux vs. Niagra game and the disappointment against Yale last year. Just make sure you have a DD or someone who stops at 2 or 3 drinks, because they don't mess around out here with drinking and driving.

  11. I did not get to see the game on Saturday and was wondering if anyone could clarify this section of the box score for me:

    2 19:47 NDK-7 Stephane Pattyn (10-Misconduct) 2 19:47 NDK-6 Stephane Pattyn (2-Unsportsmanlike Conduct) (Served by Wade Murphy) 3 19:25 NDK-8 Stephane Pattyn (2-Roughing) NMU 1x5 3 19:38 NMU-5

    Mitch Jones (2-Roughing)

I am confused how did Pattyn get a rough at 19:25, I would presume he would be in the box then. Yet he then gets a misconduct and unsportsmanlike from the box at 19:47?? Is this a typo? If not, what the hell did he do in the box to get the additional 10 and 2. Thanks for anyone who can shed some light on this for me.

  12. Thanks for the suggestions, the kid factor is not an issue, as only one of us has a kid, and I'm sure her mom will be watching her that weekend. Just looking for somewhere close that we can either walk or get a cab. I am cool with a 1 mile walk or so if needed, does GF have decent cab service? I have no problem paying for a cab or tipping a shuttle driver, just don't want friends driving drunk or anything stupid like that. I would like to be in close proximity to the rink since I am sure we will want to grab dinner and drinks before the game, and hopefully celebratory drinks afterwards.

  13. Any help on this subject would be much appreciated. I am going to head up to a game this winter and would like any advice I can get on a hotel. I did not grow up in the GF area and have really only been there for Sioux games, but it has been about 5-6 years since I have been up there. I would like to find a hotel close to the rink, where myself and some friends can be within walking distance to some bars and the rink, if said hotel exists. I'm not real picky, just no run down side of the road joints or flophouses, just looking at an above average place with clean sheets. I would like to stay within $150 for a suite if that is possible. Again any help on this appreciated.
