  1. Figured we can stop posting in the other thread now. It's a new day, let's see what the boys can bring to the ice this evening! Hopefully they come out embarassed and want a little bit of revenge.

Eids will be starting in net tonight.

    7 hours till game time!

  2. Some more exciting former Sioux action in the NHL tonight...

Zajac and Parise take on Stafford tonight. Brian Lee and David Hale are up against my Habs. Osh is up against the Pens. Toews plays against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

  3. Osh and the Blues beat Toews and the Hawks tonight in St Louis. Osh had 2 SOG and 2 assists for the Blues, while Toews had 3 SOG and 1 assist for the Hawks. Osh was +1 on the night, and Toews was a -2.

Hale and Lee with the Sens beat out Stafford and the Sabres in Buffalo. Neither of the 3 had any points or penalties in the game, although Hale did have a SOG and Stafford had 4 SOG. Lee was a -1 on the night, Hale was a 0, and Stafford came out of the night as a 0 also.

  4. Toews and Osh battle it out tonight as the Blues take on the Hawks in St Louis.

Brian Lee and Drew Stafford are up against each other in Buffalo as the Sens play the Sabres.

Lots of (former) Sioux action tonight :)

  5. This is what my friend from Maine has to say about this series:

Maine has had big expectations, but they're off to a slow start. The offense can score, as everyone expected (4.25 goals/game so far...and that's with our two leading goal scorers from a year ago having 0 and 1 respectively, so they should be due soon!)

But they've been in the box a lot, the D has been inconsistent, and the goalies are still in diapers (2 freshmen and a sophomore battling it out) All 3 have very good potential...but they need to find a groove.

They tied and lost to Michigan State in East Lansing last weekend which was a disappointment to everyone. Especially because on Thursday night, they were up 4-3 in the 3rd, and we had a guy take it in and score on an individual effort...but the refs claimed the net came off. Replay showed the puck was in before the net came off, but they were not doing replay for that game....so it should have been 5-3...instead they tied 4-4.

So it should be a very fun weekend. North Dakota is once again loaded and ready, and Maine is very good and should play hungry.

Not since Milwaukee and St Louis have I been able to watch both my favorite teams in action on the same weekend, so it should be very fun :)

    Good luck to the Sioux!

  6. BC up 1-0 over DU after 1st.

    Tech/Mankato skate to a 5-5 tie.

Miami up 1-0 over St. Cloud after 2

Wow. Tech is undefeated so far this season. That's very impressive. I know it's still early in the season, but it's still neat!

Also, the Gophers are losing (not sure what the score is) after 2.

  7. Just talked to the Senser's in Bloomington AND Plymouth. The Bloomington people (the so-called Sioux bar) didn't even know there was a hockey game today and told me to call back later. The Plymouth people didn't have much more to say either, although they at least acknowledged that there MIGHT be a game today. I'm a little disappointed in these so-called Sioux bars so far.

Can anyone with Comcast tell me if the game would be on there and what channel??

  8. Regardless of the result, this is yet another setback for that program.

Yeah the Big Ten halftime people said something along the lines of "We need to stop playing these Dakota teams, they're really good and the Gophers struggle against them (NDSU, SDSU, and now USD)"
