  1. So what led up to this worshipping event? Why was TJ there? Just curious... :silly:

It was the Warroad Prom. I'm assuming he went there to see some of his friends for grand march. I'm also assuming some of the Hockey team talked him into it.

or the gopher fan in me would say

because he's an attention whore and he has to be seen wherever large (for warroad) masses gather

    either or...you pick lol

  2. Funny story about the kid in white with the mullet. first off he's canadian, that should explain it right there. 2nd off it was kind of a year long deal throughout the hockey season it just got longer and longer (however he did not play he was just a fan). During the 2nd trip through during grand march (fun run) he comes out kneels down and a some girls come out and cut off the mullet. It was rather entertaining.

PS No I was a prom participant. My last prom was 6 years ago (my senior year) I was merely there to see my sister and her date. and when this photo came along I couldn't help but snap it. Posted it in rube chat as well but got no responce. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the picture

  3. A healthy Forney is not just top 2 line player for UND, he's potential all-conference material.

I think thats a oxymoron? He's had injury problems all through high school, I don't see why they stop now. I'm not trying to take a low blow at your team. Thats just how I see Forney

  4. During the initial phases and before construction, the concessions were to be "The flavor of Grand Forks"...Such places as Italian Moon, Bonzers, Sanders, Red Pepper, Happy Joes, Dagwoods, Blue Moose, Whiteys and more.... Were to be involved in bringing different food and beverage selections to the Ralph....

something happened along the way to change all these plans, and a monopoly occured shutting out almost everyone, unless you paid big bucks to REA for rights to sell...

I think this has diminished the not only type of concession (Unique) you could provide, but also the support from some of the local purveyors...

Just like the Attitute during the World Juniors.... REA gets all, and local home owned gets shut out...?

Can not win the fight..when they make all the rules.

I worked for pepsi during this time and we were in negotiations to get into the ralph. they wanted to start out 50/50 Pepsi/Coke. Then the world juniors stepped in and said they can only serve coke (or so i'm told) and by that time coke kissed REA's butt enough to get them to sign with them again. (and i belive there was a change in management at that time that favored coke.

  5. I was at the game as well. One of the coolest thing i've ever been to in person. and yes it was cold as hell. I thought baudetee really picked up their game from the game they played in Warroad. Good for them to bounce back from the 8-1 shellacking the week before

  6. Canada is going to whip our ass again this year. As usual, the US loads it's team full of "superstar's" and Canada will pick the best player's to make up a "team". USA Hockey is nothing but a joke. I hope Team USA proves me wrong, but after the debacle the last two year's I have little faith.

did USA Hockey learn NOTHING from Herbie?

  7. I try not to put anything negative about a team on there own board. This does not include your team, only many of your fans. You need to get over the fact that YOUR biggest rival (it doesn't go both ways, Wisconsin is ours) lost to HC last year. Its one thing to enjoy the moment, but you people go on and on and on and on about it. Yes I enjoyed Ferris State beating ND a few years ago at Mariucci, but after I left the arena it was over. I wast't calling it my greatest moment at Mariucci 7 months latter. If you don't have a ND moment that is better to talk about then what does not say much about your program. The only thing I can come up with is ND beats the Gophers so seldom at the REA, that you have to take joy in someone else beating them. See some of you at Mariucci in January, it should be a fun time.

I dont' really agree with that statement. Its pretty big every time the Sioux come to the Mecca.

  8. Thanks guys for all the kind words. Cleanup has been going good, most of the point area has the majority of the Debris picked up (as of yesterday when I was up at the "point") The twister went right through Pepsi's (where i work) back parking lot, flipping over the dumpster and tipping out all the vending machines outside. Both overhead doors to the warehouse were blown out but for the most part the building took it really well. there are more pics on KQ92's website

www.kq92.com and then click on "Pictures"

  9. I use Dr Daniel Kiefat at the Heartland Clinic (in that building next to burger time that houses the girl scouts) He is really good. He doesn't do anything until he xrays ur body scans it with this fancy scanner and then studies whats wrong with you. Then he pin points whats wrong and develops a program to get you back into shape. He is top notch I reccomend him very highly

  10. I'm getting to the point where I don't even care about the kid anymore. Make a decision and just go with it and get it over with. If he leaves the Goophs will just "find" a way to do it without him (and i use "find" very loosley) His cocky attitude is the exact reason he will not sustain long term success in the NHL as many of you have said. Unless a big attitude adjustment happens it doesn't matter to me.

  11. As somebody stated over on kfan.com or gpl ( i can't remember exactly) I don't really care one way or the other. If he comes back, great. If he leaves, i'm ok with that too, because Just like the Sioux, and any top hockey program in the country does, they will just re-load and be a threat again. Please don't spin that as to me saying the Gophers are a lock for the Nat Champ. But instead that the team will be a force. On paper the Gophers might seem to have the best team in the country but last time I checked the game is played on the ice, not paper. And in any one game anything can happen (insert Holy Cross Insult here). Either way the WCHA in general is going to be a fun league to watch again this year.

  12. if you love to hunt and fish up there its a place for you...if not, you'd probably consider it a barren wasteland lol. But in all seriously I was born and raised up there so i'm used to it. I just wish you guys wouldn't have Lured Eades away from his job as head coach up there :D

  13. if the money isn't due until sometime in aug or early september i could be a maybe again...got news of a new job back in Warroad (cheaper cost of living + higher wage = more disposable in come for this Gopher fan in Sioux Land

  14. I've never noticed this before, but Is the camera angle at the ralph always that steep? or is that just where ESPN had them for the West Regional?

  15. Sounds like I'll have to change to a NO. I just got offered a new job back home in Warroad (not Marvins) Because of this I doubt i'd be able to get the money in time for a aug/september deposit. If something drastically changes (lottery winnings!!!!!!! lol ) i'll be back in, but don't count on it. Sorry guys, I was looking forward to it
