  1. I was also very happy to see a Green and White team win, much better to see a CCHA team win it than Hockey East.

It also was evident to me that Boston College went down on contact very easy and would turn their back to a check as well. After playing against Wisconsin's diving team last year, they probably thought this was the way to play hockey to win. I can't stand divers in a hockey game, it really cheapens it. BC got what they deserve in my opinion.

    Green and White rules!

Great run this year again for the FIGTHING SIOUX!

Here is to #8 in 08!

  2. After watching the game again, along with the post game interviews; I have to agree with Chris Porter's after the game comments on his take of the game.

We were never out of the game, it could have gone either way. The shot count for the second period I thought was questionable. When the Sioux took penalties back to back is what appeared to be the achilles heel.

But, I have to give BC credit as they played extemely well and never let up. Their defense played very well and were able to convert on some fortunate opportunities.

Would have liked to see the outcome of a 2 out of 3 game series between these two teams.

This FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY TEAM is still the BEST!

  3. I'm going to Fargo tonight (I hope) & watch the 1st game on TV & then will head to St Paul in the early am (Man are we ever getting snow in GF )

http://www.dot.nd.gov/roadreport/roadreport/roadreport.asp anyone have the Minn road conditions map ?

For Minnesota road conditions you can check out:

It's not as good as North Dakota's.

  4. If I remember the play correctly, a Sioux D-man had checked the Beaver to the ice and it was merely momentum that sent both crashing into Lammy. A good example of a player getting rewarded for going hard to the net, and the replay also showed that it happened before the whistle.

The one thing I questioned about the Beavers second goal was that the ref had his arm up calling a penalty on the Sioux, then the puck makes contact with Lammie before every one slides into the net. Shouldn't the play be dead as soon as we touch the puck?

  5. You may think that they will not be forgotten in Minnesota, for now, as they are currently still playing. Give it time.

All of us Sioux fans and the greater Grand Forks area will forget about them soon after their college playing days are done.

They could have been home-town heroes, if they would have played and performed as well for the Sioux, who knows what may have happened. They could have been somebody, soon they will be has-been goofers.

  6. The mis-guided North dakota boys have had good careers with the goofers. But they will soon be forgotten by Minnesota, after their college hockey ends, because they are not from Minnesota.

  7. Was Mike's P. penalty on Punkobitch called on the ice or was it called from review of the replay after Curious George's hissy fit? :D

As I understand it, if the penalty isn't originally called on the ice, it can not be called from a video replay. I believe they can add time to a penalty to one called on the ice from video, but not create one from video.

    Let's Go SIOUX!! :D
