  1. What's up SiouxTrooper? See you in a couple weeks.
  2. I disagree. The three times I saw us play wisco in 2000, twice in Madison and the a$$ kicking we gave them in the final five you could not even come close to him. I think more than anything I am just bothered by the lack of respect our big time players receive. Let them skate. Look at any of the other conferences in college hockey or even the NHL, they all have their acts cleaned up.
  3. Oshie is the best thing to happen to Sioux Hockey in years. The kid has heart for years. The biggest disapointment in my mind is the mentality of the WCHA. Back when Danny Heatly played for wisco you could not even breathe on him without a trip to the box. Oshie and Toews are every bit as talented and dynamic as he was. Why doesn't the league protect it's marque players. People all over the county want to see these two kids skate, but with all the clutching, grabbing, and dumping that is going on, it's very hard for that to happen. When will the WCHA figure it out???
  4. What about what Elliot has done the last week? I think he deserves some serious consideration. He hasn't given up a goal in how many periods? 11 and a half. Perhaps we should have been promoting Parise this year.
  5. Guys like this just pi$$ me off. Typical crap that comes from goofville. Nick, The REA is more luxurious than the X in St. Paul, it's better than any rink in the world. What's your point. If Ralph was a gopher alum and wanted to build an elaborate rink for the gophs, would you oppose? To paint this man as "bad guy" is completely pathetic on your part. Ralph most likely forgot more about philanthropy than you will ever know. I noticed how you failed to mention the thousands of wheel chairs he donated to North Dakota's disabled, or the rink he built in his home town for the high-school to use, or the fact that many of the employees at his Imperial Palace were handicapped. This sounds to me like he could be the devil himself. The problem is that this is the typical dribble that comes out of your town. To people like you all he will ever be is some rich guy that must be a "bully" or a "nazi" because he believes strongly in something. Ralph Englestad loved hockey and he loved UND. What's the problem? At the beginning of your article you write of class, what do you know about class? Is it class that you are showing myself and the rest of the people in ND by insulting something we respect and love? Not as far as I am concerned. You should be ashamed of yourself. Next time, take the time to research your story, which this was, before you put it out for the rest to have to endure. GO SIOUX!!!
  6. It has been very rare that we go to the big dance and not come home with the trophy.
