  1. The vikes got hosed on this deal. If they dont pick the next big thing in the draft at 7th overall they will be shaking thier heads at this trade for a very long time.

as a viking hater im not happy to see moss go because with him there they werent gonna win anything. i really dont think they cared what they got for him because he was becoming too much of a distraction and just want him gone. they now can upgrade positions they need, with harris at lb and maybe try to get antrel rolle, a great cornerback, if he slips as far as 7th

  2. Watch Out is right.  I hear that thing eats small children for breakfast and feeds his babies shrimp scampi.

speaking of the red gorilla, if i have advice for anything it is not to bring small children or dogs to the tourney because the gorilla will eat them. i saw the gorilla at a bar this summer and in front of him were 40 cans of beer. he drank all 40 beers then promptly ate all the cans they were in. he then proceded to go to kings walk and shot a 3-under. im not sure if ive ever been as scared or as impressed at the same time

  3. i think this is the year rr will win. theyre on a championship drought (by rr standards) and if they play up to their potential are the best team in the state. minot is a perennial choke job and south will come in too overconfident. look for rr knocking off gpr in the final. what are everyone else's picks?

  4. what more can minot or the west do to prove themselves this year. Bismarck hi beat the easts # 1 and 2 seeds on there home ice, and minot beat the #4 and 2 seeds, and tied the 3 seeds. Central hasn't won a quality game since dec. 27th, (and jamestown, north, and west fargo dont count as quality teams), and now they are playin the states only undefeated team. Central will only have a chance of winning if minot beats themselves.

BHS proved themselves when they beat south, and kicked the crap out of grafton in grafton. The tournament is so wide open this year, that if they play as good as they can, they will have a chance, even without aide in the lineup, 10 guys have at least 10 or more points on the team this year. I would bet that a Grand forks team wont even make it to the championship this year.

havent won a quality game since dec 27? they did beat red river 5-3 on jan 27. red river is a quality team. sure sounds like you know what youre talking about.

  5. Okay, I can't remember who was bashing Dehne for giving up more goals than Olson, but Dehne has started pretty much every game for Century, where Olson has for the most part split time on a much better team.
  6. Both of Red rivers goalies are better than Shane. Shane is decent but to not have Olson or even Rosendahl from Red river on the list is bad.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

rosendahl would start for any other team in the state other than red river and south. that includes minot

  7. More than likely Minot will not make it through 3 east teams to win state. If Red river plays up to their potential they should win state, but South should be tough and Grafton. Bismarck high will end up not doin much since Aide is done.

If rr can put 3 good games together they will be very hard to beat. even tho south has beat them twice so far, it is difficult to beat a team 3 times in a year, as witnessed by gpr beating rr in the edc tourney. i could definately see minot gettin bounced in the first round. they beat central at home, but in grand forks and with central's home fans there, this will be a difficult game for minot to win (although the garritson injury will hurt central). my prediction is a red river vs. grafton championship with rr winning

  8. The best goalies I've seen in the state this year include:

    Tyler Stahl-Minot

    Ben Mclean-South

    Tony Kringstad-Grafton

    Nick Dehne-Century

    Kelvin Shane-Central

Overall I'd have to say that the goaltending has been pretty solid around the state this season, every team had pretty consistent goaltending.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

O my. Nick Dehne? Eric Olson should definately be on this list. his goals against, w-l record (actually shane is 11-7-1 but whos counting) and save % are above both shane and dehne. ive been to many games this year and eric olson is one of the top goalies in the state. theres a reason that mclean and olson were the only two all-edc goalies. dehne has allowed more than double the goals olson has and has no business being anywhere near this list.

  9. I think that Bismarck is a team very much like grafton, one big line, not much else. But with a less than 100% sam aide, rr should pull this one out. In regards to Minot, the only reason theyre undefeated is because the only real competiton theyve seen is rr and grafton. it will be difficult for minot to get past central because of the home ice advantage. if they do get past central it will be even tougher to get past grafton. they can beat anyone they want at home but you arent a good team until you can win on the road. also-even if aide is close to full strength, it will take 1 supermarket sweep for him to be limping back to the bench.
