There's a lot of negative vibes floating around out here right now. I for one am not ready to throw in the towel on our boy's just yet. I say this weekend is our opportunity to "turn the corner" on this season. Let's start with small thing's and build. Win a face off, complete a great pass, lay down a thunderous hit, score a goal. Take it one shift at a time, then that becomes a good period. Then put three good period's together, now you have a complete game. Then no looking back. We have the ability, I have seen it. Saturday night vs. CC, we could have skated with anyone. We all have our theories of what is wrong and how to go about fixing it. I offer one simple theory, play FIGHTING SIOUX HOCKEY (we all know what that is,) the rest will fix itself. Let's start this weekend, wipe the slate clean. The run for the "Big Arch" starts this weekend. The MTU Huskies are the first victims that will be left on the trail of carnage all the way to St Louis.

You're right. This team can play hockey, we seen it against CC in that Sat night game. I know they can get up for more games like that.

Does anyone on here collect hockey cards? I got back into card collecting this winter with the new NHL rules, and a slew of good rookies.
I'm looking to trade some cards to try and finish a set. I have doubles of 05-06 Series 1 & 2, and many MVP doubles. I have a Crosby MVP to trade for an Ovechkin, or for some other rookies I don't have yet.

Mike, thank you for this post! It means a lot to us fans to read this and to know you took the time to write it from the heart! Thanks for a lot of great hockey memories and stories to tell new Sioux fans about in the years to come!!

Good for phil, I'm sure he's sitting at home stroking it right now (his ROTY awards I mean). The Fighting Sioux are going to Milwaukee to play for a National Championship. Beside that, I have said it over and over, the REAL hockey fans know the truth.
Like we said last spring, they can have "Phil the Thrill"!!!!!

Just had to post that ZP got moved up to the first line with Gionta and Gomez! He got a goal last night too, with an assist on it from Hale! Nice to see the former Sioux guns making it in the NHL right now!

Thank God you are in no way, shape or form associated with evaluating talent for the NHl. And in particular with the St. Louis Blues. You must have played for Red River, when TJ and the Warriors rolled into the Ralph in Dec. of '03 and he lit you guys up for like 5 pts. or something crazy like that. Either that or you were one of their cheerleaders, (like slappy), and can't get over your team getting manhandled. In any case, it doesn't matter cause you have proven to everone here how uninformed you are.
I do have to agree with 'roughriders' on how the Sioux vets played last night. They looked real bad; plain and simple. If someone in that locker room doesn't step up and lead these young guys things are never going to change. I know we all want to see that western regional here, but the way things are going right now?

I got on here last winter and put in my two cents about Osh and how he should come right in as a true freshmen and skip going to the USHL. After watching him in many high school games; I could see he was head and shoulders above the others. I knew if he had the chance he'd make the most of it. I think he's done it so far!

I don't know how some of you guys can sit on here and say this kid isn't ready to play here next year? 100 points in a season? Setting up the game winner for all the marbles in double OT? Give me a frekin break!!
I hope you all seen him at his best Sat afternoon when it was all on the line. If not, you missed a great player make one hell of a play.
I hope the Sioux coaching staff can find a way to bring him in next year. There's some dead weight on that team and they need someone who can make big plays and contribute.
