  1. The only thing missing from that picture is Shawn-O rolling around drunk in that snowbank. :)

And a bunch of way-too-drunk Bison fans getting ready to send Shawn-O to the United Hospital with an Absolute bottle burried in his forehead!!!!:D

  2. Parise leads the team in hits for the playoffs (11), shots and goals. Zach is playing his best hockey when it counts. Where Gomez did score the game winner on a very nice shot, I've thought he's passed up a lot of good chances to try to make a pass, or just made a bad play for the majority of the series. Hopefully, all of the players can step up and play harder, so I don't have to sit through these darn nail-biters! I enjoy OT games in the playoffs, just not the Devils. :silly:

    GO DEVILS!!!!!!!! :silly:

  3. They're the ZZ Pops line with Langenbrunner being "Pops." :silly:

Parise and Zajac have really played well in this series and they have a good leader on that line in Lange with a lot of playoff experience. These guys play well together, and all will go into the dirty areas and work the puck hard.

  4. I was watching the Flames and Wings last night and saw 2 sticks to the face last night in that one. Rhett Warrner took a puck right in the chops too, man he lost a gallon of blood. Returned for action in the 2nd though.

The NFL and NBA playoffs can't even come close to matching the intensity of Stanley Cup playoff hockey in my opinion. Long live the game!!!!!

  5. I saw the live version and the replay. That's the 2nd time it's happened to the Devils in as many games. With the one that happened to Lukowich in the last game, the ref wasn't in position to see it, but with Zach's the ref was standing right in front of him. They have two refs and two linesman, but can't see these things. Pathetic.

You're right. ZPar got that one in the throat and Gionta got one in the face. I saw a guy from San Jose get one in the throat last night too.

I'm all for physical and tough playoff hockey. I'm not for seeing guys loose teeth and take eye injuries because some players use their sticks like a weapon. St Louis had that stick of his tilted towards Gionta when he skated by him, intentional or not they got to call that if they see it. The league has to call more of this crap, but they seem to turn a blind eye to it in the playoffs. Maybe when Crosby takes one in the throat and misses half a season, they'll do something about it than.

  6. Zach was the # 1 star of Game 1 vs. TB . . . He and Travis are pumped

And he finally got his teeth fixed.

Yeah, I was watching that game and saw him loose his first tooth in the big leagues. Triouxper called me and asked if I saw ZPar "pickin up the chiclettes?"

Notice how a lot of the guys are wearing mouth pieces now and half visors. Not a bad idea with how light the sticks have become.

  7. Don't worry, the Sabre's are gonna bitch-slap everyone in the Eastern Conference. Plus, they will do it without the services of your hero stafford (speaking of cake-eater's.)

My hero, I don't even have any of his rookie cards yet!!! You'd better get your story straight, as the Sabres website said he was reactivated on the 9th.

  8. Heading to Triple Overtime! Is there anything better than playoff hockey?

One of the best hockey games I've ever seen on TV. Unreal. 4 OTs and Luongo making 72 saves. Turco was no slouch either, he came up huge for Dallas many times. The Sendin brothers hooking up on a beauty to end it was icing on the cake for the Canucks fans that toughed out a long night, but I bet everyone of them is at work today a little tired, but probably pretty happy.

  9. As much as I want them to win it all, I don't see New Jersey getting past the 2nd round. Any time the Devils have played a physical team this year, they struggled to stay in the game. In the playoffs, the game gets more physical. Tampa Bay has also had their way with the Devils this year, and they match up in the first round. My prediction....if the Devils some how get past the first round, they won't make it past the 2nd round. Buffalo vs San Jose in the finals.

The Devils had a run of bad luck with injuries to Gionta, Madden and Elias and they are the type of injuries that reapear quickly in tough playoff hockey. Are all these guys 100%, I guess we won't know until the heat really gets turned up in the playoffs. ZPar, Zajac and Marty B have been their iron men, but won't be able to do it all if the injury bug comes back to haunt them.

I have to agree with you on the Sabes in the east. A lot of fire power up front and great balance on D and in net. I'll disagree with you on the Western Conf. I say it'll be the Preds; as long as Foresberg stays healthy.
