  1. This thread amazes me. If you think you are hurting more than the players, you are not. If you think you care more about this team than the players, you don't. If you think you care more than Dave Hakstol, you don't. This attitude that permeates from some on this board that they as fans are somehow "entitled" to an eigth championship is amazing. News flash: Winning the national championship is not that easy! This is a different era in college hockey. Every team in the FF is loaded with high end players. The players opting to go the college route are far better than those of the '70s and '80s. BC was better last night. Shake their hands and move on. This pissing and moaning that comes from some on this board is unbelievable. And this "losing to the same team three years in a row" BS that keeps coming up? Come on. It is college athletics, players change every year. So UND didn't have the minerals to get it done in the end this year, deal with it. I know for a fact they will be back next year, busting ass every night, trying to get "number 8" for those on this board that won't settle for anything less year in and year out, and then cry like little babies when the team comes up short. The team owes the fans an apology? Robbie Bina, returns from a broken neck, Oshie, Chorney, come back for another year, Duncan probably cost himself money by coming back this year, but you're right though, they don't give a damn about Fighting Sioux hockey. If your upset about going to Denver, and you feel the team didn't give you a great effort, the effort that you as a fan supposedly "deserve" and are "entitled" to, here's an idea, stay home next time! (Oh yeah, and be sure to cast your vote for Obama or Hillary in the fall) This sums it up perfectly from a man who had a great fondess for the state of North Dakota: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.   2. DU radio announcers whining for too many men. Is this accurate? They also talk like Paukovich plays a finesse game, and people are constantly picking on him. Now they just said while they thought they were off air that Prpich and I quote "speared the sh*t out of Paukovich" and then they say he cross checked Gauthier in the face? What the hell is going on? The beauty is these jackasses are talking and laughing about how cheap DU is going to get once the game is out of reach. While they believe they are off air of course.
  3. I'm listening to DU announcers on a stream. During times they break for commercial, the stream doesn't break , so you can hear the conversations they are having and they are just ripping DU. It is hilarious.
  4. Fire Helmet Guy, I've read your posts on this board and you sound like a decent guy, but I have to disagree with you on the actions of the students in Section 2. I was at the John on Friday night in section 2 row 11. Obviously I have no idea who WPOS is, or where he sits in section 2, or if he even still even sits there, but I can tell you about the students in Section 2 on Friday night. There was a group of about 8 to 10 firing off racist commentary for the entire game, organized chants. I honestly can not believe a decent Gopher fan or some security person could not have at least told these ignorant idiots to shut the hell up. Parents with small children sitting right in front of these students as they chanted derogatory and racist statements about native americans, I don't think I need to give examples of what was said, but if you want me to, I will get back later. It's funny, how an institution like the U of M, that has adopted the SCSU policy of not even mentioning the nickname "Fighting Sioux" over the P.A., allows their fans to come to a University arena and spout their racist statements, and believe me, at times, a majority of the time, everyone in that section could hear them. Not once, were they ever talked to. I have been to games at SCSU, Duluth, UW, DU, and have never heard what I heard from this group on Friday, it was appalling, and an embarrassment to decent U of M fans, I know there are a few out there.
  5. I am with you PCM, how can they not have an overhead view in the national championship game? You can't tell me that is not a goal. His glove touches the inside of the net. The only way that is not a goal is if it is a snow cone catch, in which case we would have been able to see the puck... Overall tough luck, two goals basically off skate blades, and many Sioux chances, just barely tickling wide, or barely being stopped by Mannino. But what can you do? Whether I like it or not Denver is a good team. Do I wish Denver would not get away with as much obstruction and stickwork as they do? Yes, but, evidently WCHA officiating or not, it is not going to be called. But , congratulations Denver. Most of all, Congratulations North Dakota, you guys make us all proud as fans of this team. It was tough at times this year, but in the end, you guys turned it around , and it was a hell of a run. In the end you guys showed the hockey world what the team in green is all about, bringing it on every shift, for 60 minutes; and at times you might be out talented, but you will never be out worked. Thanks for a great ride.
  6. I just have to say, it is clear to me, the Denver Pioneers have taken the title from Wisconsin as the dirtiest team in the league. I'm sure others noticed the subtle but effective leg sweep by the DU player on the Sioux D-man leaving Gauthier all alone in the slot to bury the game winner. One other note, the e mail address for Greg Shepherd from the league website is incorrect. I tried to email him after the last DU series, and it was returned as undeliverable. The clutching, the grabbing, the mugging... And Paukovich, someday you will get yours.
  7. Why does Parise even play? Is Phil hurt? He is clearly a better goaltender. Aside from Z Par, is this Shattuck pipelline worth seeing Parise take his sunday strolls around the net, that more often than not lead to misplays that end up in the Sioux net.

If I wanted to read/hear Gopher fluff, I would listen to your spokesperson on kfan jeff fat a@@ dubay, puffy? No one cares about your Gopher updates. We can all read the newspapers/internet sites. Christmas is just around the corner, I will send you some new kneepads, we all know "the don" needs a new fluff girl.
