no trupp...damn..musta not been as ready as they thought..

  3. my fav's were..." 'tis the season!! FA LA LA LA LA...LA LAFONTAINE!!!" or "MAXIM AAAAFINIGINOV!! TOP SHELF!! WHERE MMMAMA HIDES THE COOKIES!!!" haha...he's good..he'd be awesome to have as play by play guy

  4. A search on Google reveals he's a porn star. I don't know what that has to do with anything.

someone will put up a picture of ron jeremy pretty quick....it's all about the mustache..nothing about the porn...

  5. YAY! A lot of worthless references to Chicken Parm!

There is nothing better than endless references to inside jokes among analysts and commentators that the audience is not a part of. Makes you "part of the crew."

Seriously, Ray Ferrero, maybe you should put the kabosh on that crap. Chicken Parm is a food and, unless you are willing to explain wtf they are talking about every time it is mentioned, you should drop the reference.

i like clay matvick....but no barry melrose is BS!! i'm sure they only have norton so he can boost up the chowdah heads even more than espn will already be doing....

and if i have to hear another play by play guy say "(player) is going to the box to serve 2 minutes or less!" one more time i'm gonna just snap!! it was cute the first time.....every time though...get something new asshat

  6. The first penalty, Radke was a little over-aggressive but I believe he was trying to set the tone for the rest of the team, who were very stale at that point in the game. The second call against him was BS. Say what you want about Kyle, but our team is 18-4-4 this year with him in the line-up. He adds more to the team than most people can see. He is a veteran guy and this will be his fourth trip to the Frozen Four. No other player on this team played in the previous 3 FF's.

I hope he plays and I hope Trupp is healthy enough to play as well.

ditto...that second penalty was garbage....ROUGHING??? all i could say was that this is mens hockey and checking is allowed...he met the guy behind the net and hit him right as he got rid of the puck......just cuz he smoked him he got a penalty....first one was dumb but i see what he was trying to do...

i'm not even that big of a radke guy...i actually dreaded seeing him in the lineup last year just cuz he took too many stupid penalties, but he's cleaned it up quite a bit and still is a force out there..

  7. whose the color and the commentator?

hopefully its not huge bob mutli chin norton.

my guess is it will be gary thorne doing the play by play and barry melrose on the color.....just a guess

edit....clemente is with versus now...he wouldn't be there with espn anymore

  8. Speaking of "stacshes", Memo to Ryan Duncan: Shave it off, or just go to a "playoff beard".;)

i think if anyone knows anything about streaks...they'd say those boys can all look as ridiculous as they want....if anyone doesn't know about them..i think this quote from BULL DURHAM should teach you everything you need to know

    RIDIN THE 'STACHE BABY!!!!!

Crash Davis: I never told him to stay out of your bed.

Annie Savoy: You most certainly did.

Crash Davis: I never told him to stay out of your bed.

    Annie Savoy: Yes you did.

Crash Davis: I told him that a player on a streak has to respect the streak.

    Annie Savoy: Oh fine.

Crash Davis: You know why? Because they don't - -they don't happen very often.

    Annie Savoy: Right.

Crash Davis: If you believe you're playing well because you're getting laid, or because you're not getting laid, or because you wear women's underwear, then you ARE! And you should know that!

  9. I agree with many. Kozek is the best fit with Oshie and Duncan. However, Hakstol keeps putting Miller with them so I really don't know what he's seeing that makes him keep Miller there.

Miller has good speed but he just doesn't know how to finish things. With him out there it's like opponents know they don't have to worry about him doing anything special so they easily focus on Duncan and Oshie making sure they don't do anything. It was also obvious that when Hakstol did put Kozek with Duncan and Oshie that things were looking much better and more scoring chances were being generated.

In the end if Hakstol keeps Miller with Duncan and Oshie maybe Miller will finally step up during the Frozen Four and show why he deserves to be on the top line otherwise he should be relegated down.

like i said earlier, that top line is the best of bad options when it comes to where to put miller...it's the best fit for his game, but not the best fit for that line...there's a reason he's a healthy scratch when trupper doesn't have a broken leg....kozek better be on that line at 5pm 4/10

  10. Why do you even care what Bob Norton thinks? He's about an inch away from full blown alzheimer's.

i could care less what he thinks...i thought the reply about "well they will a few minutes in" was hilarious!!! bob norton sucks..i can already see him drooling when he gets to talk about his precious boston/hockey east schools.

  11. You might want to call and double check, but I've seen youngsters at the Ground Round when we've watched games there.

restaurant side of BWW or ground round or somewhere like that..

  12. I agree. Boogaard is just a goon. An important element of the Wild, but just a goon. Radke brings more to the table than being just a goon. He is more like a Claud Lemieux. Can goon it up, get under other teams skin, and is strong defensively. Kyle just doesn't have the knack to score big goals like ol' Claud used to. I personally hated the guy, but he was a guy you loved if you had on your team and hated if he wasn't.

If we get another shot at Denver, Kyle is a must start. He should be able to draw more penalties than he takes as been the case over the last couple of months!

    fair enough

  13. This team needs it's first line to produce from here on out. Period. You can talk about balance, but this team will advance on the point production of Oshie and/or Duncan. Others will chip in but that is the reality of this time of year. Kozek gives the other 2 a better chance to produce than Miller. Miller or Kozek on that 3rd line in my opinion is a wash.

i personally think kozek is a better fit than miller on either line.....he adds the physical with the ability to score on the first line, and the ability to score along with the physical on the 3rd line......

triouxper.... i don't think anyone is throwing miller under the bus, i don't think i've read anything here where anyone is flat out saying that he sucks or it's his fault or he's a PoS.... but you are right about him needing to step it up next year as a senior and provide some scoring...hopefully the injury bug is done biting this team

  14. Someone had pointed out he doesn't have the physical presence to be on the 3rd and 4th line, and I don't think the VV/Kaip/Watkins line will be messed with, so that basically puts him with Duncs and Osh. Miller is fast and has offensive skill, and maybe by puting him with our two best players offensively, we maximize what Miller can do. It's a game of what works best for all 4 lines, not just the top line. I agree with the majority, that I think Kozek and VV did more with the top line, but maybe that doesn't work best for the big picture. I disagree with the notion that we shorten our bench this time of year. We have a very deep team, and I think rolling four lines will wear our opponents down come the end of the game. In my opinion, we are not compromising when we have our Malone/Radke/Zajac line out there, that is a hell of a line no matter what number you put in front of it. When/if Trupp comes back, we may see Kozek sniping with D and O again, with Trupp back with his old linemates, but until that happens, here's my uneducated guess at our line pairings...

    Duncan/Oshie/Miller

    Kaip/VV/Watkins

    Frattin/Kozek/Martens

    Malone/Zajac/Radke

    Finley/Genoway

    Chorney/Bina

    Jones/Marto

I hope LaPoint is ok, I was watching when he took that hit and he went pretty hard into the boards, and came up a little shaky. Does anyone remember if there was a call on that hit? Boarding maybe, i know there was no cfb?

    2 min boarding
