  1. And now that he's gone, folks will STILL find something to b*tch about...Would Hak taking the job in Edmonton or Buffalo made you happier?

Nope. The good thing is that now it will be proven that there are multiple coaches out there that can do exactly what Hak did (and maybe...gulp....actually win a big game now and then) given the massive built in competitive advantage that exists at UND for the hockey program. Good luck in Philly as there won't be any apologists for you there.

  2. if your not gonna count an empty netter against don't count the goalie pretty much scoring one in his own net so 4-2 is a little more accurate whichs means in the last three ff games we have scored 0, 1, and 2 goals (two of those three belong to a walk on iirc)...just give muss...oops hak i mean a little more time and he will figure this all out....

Even I must admit that the Muss comparison is horrible. Muss couldn't win any games much less the big one. Its too bad that each team doesn't have a separate coach for the regular season and the playoffs. Hak is very good at pulling a team together and developing them to a certain point. However, he's simply not a big game coach.

  3. Do those players that we have had even come to UND if Eades or Sandy are at UND? If either of those coaches are as good as you say, why is Eades still in the USHL? Yes, Sandy has won a title but what has happen to his teams after that (and before)? Would you go out and support UND if they turned in consecutive season of 5 wins? You fail to remember the years in the mid-90's when you couldn't even GIVE AWAY tickets to the games at the old Ralph...

Once again you are being naive in regards to the roll the Ralph plays at UND. If those other coaches had the opportunity to coach at a college with state of the art facilities, is the biggest event in town by a long shot, funding is never an issue, and has the rich history that UND does don't think for a second that multiple other coaches couldn't replicate Haks record and even hang something other than a participation banner once in awhile.

  4. Still can't figure out the Hak man crush on Murphy. 0 goals in 2 years and he's getting power play time. Meanwhile a senior that has produced as recently as two weeks ago.....in very limited playing time sits (Panzarella).

I really like Cags and Parks but they disappeared after Christmas this year.

  5. So your 1st round draft pick Fr. center, who won't shot the puck, is on a line with a wing w zero collegiate goals and another wing that is not offensively gifted either......in a loser go home game.

    Yup......this makes sense.

Per Schlossman's blog, Murphy scored in the after practice shootout today....and you doubted him.

Looks like Wade Murphy and Colten St. Clair are in, Trevor Olson and Johnny Simonson are out.

    Interesting . ..

So a team that has struggled with faceoffs since losing Mark Mac is sitting arguably their 2nd best faceoff guy (Simo)....got it. They must be planning to run Quinipeac out of the building because in a close game this makes no sense.

  7. It's pretty clear that alcohol was involved here. I am guessing there were many students walking around campus that day and I don't recall Altru being overrun with thousands of frostbite cases. As long as you keep moving and aren't frickin walking from Memorial Stadium over the Clifford Hall, you will be cold but you won't have the type of frostbite that gets you airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital. My biggest concern is that most college kids don't get hammered by themselves. Where were his friends or teammates? I can't imagine that no one had the common sense to realize that he was in trouble and shouldn't be left alone or allowed to leave by himself. All that being said, the biggest concern right now is that he gets healthy. I really hope that one day of bad decision making doesn't ruin his whole career.

  8. Siouxvikes didn't get no $175 per ticket, not even Gopher fans are dumb enough to pay that. I am guessing he got much closer to the $100 per ticket, which is much closer to the going rate. But he is too proud to admit that his initial asking price was ridiculous. It's all good. Nothing wrong with making some money on the tickets. REA and UND sure does everything they can to profit on our backs, so I don't blame a season ticket holder from trying to recoup some of that expense.
