Greg Stemen was never an assistant under Glas. I heard he showed up a few times at practice. But never was on his staff.

what's wrong with this schedule. Why is this different than years past? I would say most don't think UND is "their" peer. UND baskeball is horrible

who cares that he coached D1. I mean really? What does that mean? Is he a better coach? Is Tim Miles a better coach at NDSU now that he's D1? No, the same as he was as a D2 coach.

One thing I noticed on Jones. It says in his bio on the Web site that he coach at UNO from 1996 to 1998 and "recruited several players that won back to back NCC titles". UNO won those titles in 2004 and 2005. I doubt he recruited any of those players. Maybe I'm missing something.
I would've gone with Brown, but UND will go D1, so maybe this is the right fit

I've heard Randall Herbst took a job at Florida Southern earlier last week. Anyone know anything about this? I haven't seen it released. I think it was an assistant job. I"m sure we'll know more next week if he doesn't get the UND job

That isn't true about the assistants. Saul Phillips or Todd Koering would be the head coach at NDSU and the other would be assistant at NDSU.

I know for a fact that one of the recruits that Z signed is going to UND because of facilites. That's what the kid said.
You don't think high school or JUCO kids don't get amazed by the facilities, even if their not playing in them. The coach I'm sure is saying, "look, we make a committment to athletics, etc."

You say Z doesn't have good facilites. I don't agree. You don't think they take those baseball recruits to the Betty and the Ralph and the Alerus?
Those kids are there BECAUSE of the facilites

Why do you say Concordia played better than they have all year? From what I heard, UND played very well and CSP struggled

Congrats Concordia. UND lost to three NSIC schools this year. it's just a down year I guess for this region.
But people ripped Moorhead (which I somewhat agree) but I guess it proves you better not rip until the tournament is won. CSP's point guard was out, but I guess that was good since Carlisle stepped up

Wow, what a win by Concordia. Second time in four years an NSIC team has beaten UND in the semifinals.
CSP vs. St. Cloud regional final! what!

I think Winona State is good and deserves it. WSU lost a few games in Hawaii and to a couple of ok D2s in Illinois as well.
St. Cloud should've beaten USD.

UND women will win the region, no problem.
In the first round, UND will beat Ft. Hays State by 30 points. The RMAC stinks!

If it does make you feel better. SMSU is one of the better teams in the NSIC. Ranked #1 this week in the region and tied for first in the NSIC. I talked to Greg at Booster Club today and asked. Said he was maybe at 10 practices at UND when his wife was coach at UND. Might have watched a few "other" games to help scout. anyways...
