same here - rescheduled my work - again - around this weekend and have no ticket.
will do whatever it takes to be in the building Saturday though
I mean I live in Mpls and the FF is in St Paul and the Sioux are in it. My decision to not buy tickets or aggressively seek them out makes no sense.

I would bet you would still find a fair crowd. If I needed a place to watch it in the Cities, that would be the first place I would go if not in my own home.
I cannot believe I didn't buy tickets for the weekend. I think I may have lost my mind.

I am unable to go to the game on Thursday but am looking for fellow Sioux fans to watch the game with. I know Bloomington Sensors is usually the place to be but with the games here I am not sure if that's the case.

In the past they have compared bubble teams amongst themselves and that would put MSU and Notre Dame in. I don't think they will go down that road this year though with the Bucky at situation.
What time is the selection show and what channel is showing it?

I do know what you mean about Gopher fans though. I won't lose any sleep if they lose at Mankato this weekend and are eliminated from the tournament.
While its good for the atmosphere to have the Gophs there it would be nice break. The Target Center was like a morgue. Best part the weekend was the band coming through the doors of the Irish bar across the street and just setting up shop.

No, not at all. I was just saying it didn't affect attendanced as much as it would have if the Final Five that year had been in St Paul. 1999's tournament was held at Target Center and it was North Dakota vs Denver. I believe attendance for that game was around 10 or 11 thousand.
Oh I know what you are saying. I was at the Target Center Final Five. What a weird atmosphere it was in that building.

So the Gophers were given the Friday night game several times when they were NOT the #1 seed correct? But if they arn't in it the true #1 seed would play the night game?
If the Gophers don't win I think tickets will be VERY easy to pick up before the game, either at the ticket booth or from fans outside trying to get $5 for them...
It would be nice to sit at the Final Five without having some maroon wearing fan in my face spitting beer and propaganda. Every year it seems like the random acts of stupidity get cranked up a bit.

A few scenarios out there:
CC and UND win and no other upsets - UND plays Fri afternoon
CC upset and UND win - UND plays Fri night
CC, UND, Gophers and Duluth all win - Gophers would play UND and it should be the afternoon game, but unsure if the Minnesota rule would be reinstated.
The good bet would be Fri afternoon tickets.
I would bet my life if the Gophers get in and then win the play-in game on Thursday that they will play the Friday night game which would sort of make sense anyway because CC is the #1 seed.

This didn't really affect attendance since the Final Five that year was held in Milwaukee.
Ahh so this goes back to our earlier conversation about the final five attendance in Wisco? It all comes back to 1998.

Hope they pack their jammies.It will be interesting to see if the WCHA Commissioner allows the Gophers into the final five despite losing out in a playoff series. I mean if they don't make it who is going to play the late game on Friday? Who??

Two Questions:
1. When was the last time the Gophers were not in the Final Five?
2. When was the last team both the Sioux and the Gophers didn't make it?
I don't know the answers to these questions but I started thinking about where I might sit if the Gophers don't make it because there will be plenty of tickets to be had.

That 98 regional was so poorly attended or was it the one year that they had the Final Five there? The place looked empty.

I agree totally. Let's hope Wisconsin falters and doesn't make the tournament. Who's up for a road trip from Minneapolis to Madison in a few weeks?
Because Wisco isn't playing this week do you think not getting into the Final Five would kick them out of the tourney?

UND a #1 seed in Madison without UW there--I'll take it. Will get a good turn out of Sioux fans and big ice. I like that combo with whoever is in that regional with UND.
I would really like to see the Sioux in Madison. I need one more road trip this year!!
