I liked Jets when I read that comment above but it just doesn't sound all that great...North Dakota Jets or UND Jets. It doesn't roll off your tongue very well. I do like another suggestion above for the Thunder. Now that sounds good to me...North Dakota Thunder or UND Thunder. Not sure what the mascot would be for that though but announcers can say "lets hear some thunder". I have always liked Rough Riders too.
My Problem with Thunder is that we have the "Thundering Herd" just to the south.

Has anyone else not received their tickets in the mail? I have been patiently waiting I was going to email the NCAA or call the TD Garden. Thought I would check with you all first.
I haven't received our tickets yet either. I called the TD Garden last week and they said they were mailing them this week. I sure hope so. We're flying out on Monday.

They do exist. I have two. Not for sale, though. Sorry.

Had the pleasure of visiting Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton, DE (as seen on the TV show Brewmasters) last weekend. While I wouldn't regularily drink all of them most were great beers. Unfortunatley, you can't buy it in ND, SD or MN yet. Their average beer is 9% alcohol by volume so they definitely pack a punch.

I think that Hak should give Blood's A to Gleason. He is certainly deserving.

Actually, as someone pointed out to me, you've traded AA, MTU, Bemidji and the WCHA leadership for Miami, Western MI, and hopefully a decent conference leadership group.
Not all that bad of a trade, considering how much we belly-ached about McLeod for years. And none of us thought the WCHA was an inferior conference at that point.
I like the way you put it. I am not a fan of St. Cloud joining but McClown had to go and it will still be a good conferance. We all know that St Cloud isn't being allowed to join with out some stipulations.

It was my understanding that he could rejoin the team after Christmas break but he would not be eligible to play in a game until next season.
I don't know about eligibility but Fratts will indeed join the team at semester break. I don't know if he is eligible to play but he first must regain Hak's trust and then the trust of his teamates. I don't think we'll see Matt before next year. Good luck Matt. You can do it!

Which bars in GF have the game on? It seems like we have been to rumors before assuming they would have it on and they don't. I mean they are a sports bar why would they have the sports pack? I know BWW and Ground Round always have them on. What others?

Email George and let him know how you feel. I am sure he would love to hear from some Sioux fans. Gwoz's email

Take it for what it is worth. Lord knows I have been wrong before but I have on good information that Duncan has signed with Bridgeport of the AHL and will play this weekend. Also Stalock and Odberg from Duluth will sign. I apologize for the duluth player spellings but that is what I have heard.

Give it a rest already.
Edit: What I mean is that Finley makes mistakes that have nothing to do with Genoway, and vice versa. Finley's return is the single biggest event that turned the team around, and Genoway won WCHA defensive player of the year because he's paired with an extremely complimentary defense partner. Now is not the time to be taking shots at anyone, as everyone on the team makes mistakes pretty much every game.
Thank you. I couldn't agree more. I have been saying the same thing.

Why is Brett Hextall walking around campus with a brace on his leg???
Maybe someone can help me out here but if I remember correctly Hextal didn't play in the third period of the Saturday game.

I personally wouldn't be surprised to see Dean coach the gophers and put ex-assistant coach Brad Berry on his staff.

Sioux pass Minn. in the PWR.

Alaska ties the Gophers at the end of the 2nd.

Even though he is not on the list I pick Kevin Spiewak.

One of them plays midgets in Winnipeg. I think his last name my be O'Connel or something like that. Hopefully that rings a bell for someone.

Have you seen us play this year?
We pass crisp. 90 mph right into the skates. Or if it's in front of the goal. 90 mph right through everyone.

I don't know if anyone has been following but for those of you traveling to the games this weekend it looks like the weather has taken a turn for the worse. Grand Forks is in a winter storm watch Thursday night into Friday afternoon. Apparently more heavy snow could be headed this way. Just aheads up for anyone traveling. Hope to see you there.

Wow, that was just terrible!

Any stores/restaurants open in GF today?

Some unlikely heros:
From FightingSioux.com
At the 2001 GLI, the Sioux skated to 5-4 overtime victories over Michigan and Michigan State behind the goaltending of freshman Josh Siembida , who had joined the team prior to the tournament. UND F Tim Skarperud claimed the John MacInnes Trophy as tournament MVP.
If Siembida can win it then I have faith in Eidsness and Walski.

Wish I could have seen that one.

You were obviously drunk or just have no clue. The womens program has done a 180 compared to the last couple years. Keep up the good work Coach.

You can usually fly to Denver pretty cheap out of Jamestown or Devils Lake. $200 to $250 round trip on Skywest (united) and the parking is free.
