  1. Well in my opinion, the power-play in inconsistent. The PK is inconsistent. Besides Bina, Radke, Chorney all of the other defensemen are playing below where they should be. Lee is coughing it up almost as much as Finley, Jones takes untimely penalties, Radke takes a few too many penalties (although I like how he actually plays physical and I like his skill level), Goaltending has been sketchy at best. Both Phil and Greico have been suspect. Coachs are being out coached. Watkins, kozek, kaip have been off this year along with others. The team is having trouble putting together solid line combos. Oshie has been a little banged up this year. Toews is snake bit, obviously the best forward on the team but hasn't been burying it this year. Porter has played well at times but has lacked consistency. The team is losing battles they shouldn't lose. Defense aren't allowing the goalies to see the puck.

These are some of the other issues.

Is that all?? How about this too.....the crowd noise has sucked, watching Don Adam ref has stunk, the mental breakdowns with 'too many men on the ice' penalties are unacceptable, but the glow sticks were kinda cool!

  2. Grieco has played good so far but has he played good enough to keep the job and have Lammy as back-up?

I think he has played well enough to split time. Its almost like it was last year when the offense seemed to score more with Jordan. The offense seems to score more behind Grieco. I still believe Lammy is a step or 2 ahead of Grieco, but you have to get Grieco some playing time for the future.

  3. I thought I read some place that it was a leg injury but no more specific than that.

Lammy told the world his injury during the pre-game on Friday. He even stated when it occured.

    should I post it?

  4. I realize that everyone is has there own favorite music style, but why bash anyone for liking country? I love both country and alternative. There is one thing I do know for sure, and thats when I go to concerts and see the lovely ladies, there sure are a lot more of them at them there backwoods cun-trey ones.

In my opinion, the sioux boys just know where the hotties are at!

    Go SIOUX

  5. I will have to say the Tolna website is pretty sweet though. But I can't find the section where they list any victories over Lakota? And I'll bet you did lose to "The Rick."

Are you referring to "God"? lol... As a kid from Lakota, I can only remember one baseball loss to Tolna. It was on a blown call in which I tagged up on a fly ball and scored. The Tolna pitcher then threw a pitch to the next batter and then threw over to 3rd to appeal that I left early. The ump called me out. Oh yes....nothing like a hometown ump bending the rules... we lost 3-2

  6. I'm more of a cynic than any of you. I didn't read in Congresswoman Baldwin's letter that she disagreed with the NC$$ edict regarding American Indian names and logos nor did I read she said she would vote for H.R. 5289. She said she would keep WiSioux's "thoughts in mind" and her "opinion matters".

I wouldn't be rushing to bring her to ND based on that letter.

I agree with ya on that one. I guess I was just responding because her letter seemed like a more personal letter versus the group response from Pomeroy. Lets hope she does vote in favor of H.R. 5289.

  7. Here is the email that I finally recieved:

    July 27, 2006

    Dear Ms. Lobdell,

Thank you for contacting me about the use of Native American

mascots at schools. It is good to hear from you, and I apologize for

    the delay in my response.

As you know, the National College Athletic Association (NCAA)

recently decided that universities could only participate in NCAA

championships and host championship events if they do so without

Native American references on their uniforms and associated

athletic program activities. However, the NCAA makes exceptions

for universities who demonstrate that their nicknames are not a

direct Native American reference, or who have received

permission for the use of the name and mascot from the tribe with

    which it is associated.

The Protection of University Governance Act of 2006, H.R. 5289,

prohibits any non-governmental entity that regulates intercollegiate

sports, such as the NCAA, from penalizing or denying any benefit

to an institution of higher education based on their name, symbol

or mascot. If passed, H.R. 5289 would override the NCAA's

decision. This legislation was referred to the House Education and

Workforce Subcommittee on 21st Century Competitiveness, of

which I am not a member. Rest assured, if this legislation does

come to a vote, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

Again, thank you for sharing your views. Your opinion matters to

me. If I can be of service to you in any other way, please do not

hesitate to let me know. As a result of the anthrax incidents, all

mail sent to Congress is first irradiated. This process causes

significant delays. To ensure the fastest response, I encourage all

constituents who have access to the internet to contact me through

    my website at http://tammybaldwin.house.gov.

    Sincerely,

    Tammy Baldwin

    Member of Congress

Am I the only one thinking that Tammy should move to ND and run for Congress? ;)
