Agree completely. I was just trying to look at it from a different perspective that maybe that is why we aren't seeing offers out to the type of players that we should be offering. Maybe they just haven't been interested in the past. Like @SiouxFan100 said, I would guess out of the 4 Dakota schools I'd be willing to bet for the majority of good recruits we would be #4 on that list. I hope that changes with Bubba out and Schmidt leading the charge. And I think it will change. I think a lot of players that fit the mold will begin to see UND as a legit option with Schmidt as HC. Might not be year 1 but year 2 and on we should really see a change in the type of players that are offered.

Is it that good players that fit the mold just don't want to come here? What if these higher level players don't even view UND as an option and that's why we don't see many offers being sent to the FBS portal guys? Don't know if that is the case, just asking the questions. (Not specific to this year) You can't (I suppose you could but makes no sense) offer a player that has 0 interest in your program.

Young. High energy. Can relate to young athletes. Former professional athlete so knows what it takes to be successful and play at the highest level. Can recruit. Can motivate young men. Did well with not much this year (QB situation was on Bubba). Well liked by everyone. He’s a star in the making imo. The exact type of HC I’d want to play for. All of that is going to help us get the type of recruits that the other Dakotas get. Just my thoughts
