Down here in Texas there was a medical expert on TV saying ND had no new Covid cases last week, and that ND may already be at herd immunity. Any truth to that report?

UMD will likely finish anywhere between 2 and 4 in the standings, but I think it's much more likely they finish higher rather than lower.
UMD has three games left, two of them against SCSU, which seems to give them problems. I still see UMD winning the CC game, and probably getting some points out of at least one of the two SCSU games. That'll put them somewhere between 43-45 points.
Omaha has 38 points, but 4 games against us. Even if they split, that's only 44 points. I think with 44 they end up behind, or possibly tied with UMD. I think UMD finishes at least as high as third this year, maybe even second if they can handle SCSU who they are only one point behind.
On the other hand, Denver seems pretty locked into that five spot. They can't catch any of the top four teams. WMU could finish ahead of DU (they are up two points right now) but WMU will likely finish with 33 points at best if they sweep Miami. DU can get to 34 if they take 3 of 4 from CC. CC can move up to five if they basically run the table, or go 5-1 in their last six, but with two games at DU, plus one each at SCSU and UMD, that seems like a tall order.
My predicted order of finish:
UND, UMD, SCSU, Omaha, DU, WMU, CC and Miami
Spoiler alert. Duloot just lost to CC. Time to mix things up a bit.

How sweet it will be to see multiple NCHC foes have their season end at the Ralph. Denver, CC, and hopefully one of Omaha/Clown/Duluth. Western and Miami aren't as big of rivals but they will likely end there too.
League officials need to sit this dude for 2 or 3 games. That was a gutless cheap shot, delivered to cause injury. If the Sioux face DU again in the playoffs he should have a target on his back.

Beat to too many pucks, not connecting on passes, giveaways, indecisiveness, and blind passes for turnovers. It did get a little better as the game went on but still nowhere near what this team is capable of. Powerplay really looked off, just no rhythm at all and a half second slow with everything. Thome looked a little shaky at times like the 1st goal but stepping in to a tough situation he got the job done.
But they focused on D and gave up only 7 shots on goal the last two periods. I like the ability to do what's needed to win when you're not sharp. I think shaking up the lines tonight caused some confusion.

Rewatched Brink's dive. Wasn't as egregious as I remembered, but it was definitely not as impactful as his reaction suggested. At least he got up and kept playing.
Yeah I watched that Brink dive on Super Slo Mo. It was a two and a half with a twist. Two of the three judges gave him a 10.

Bingo! If anyone has been undisciplined of late it would be Mismash, but I still love his game. He’s a guy from the Minneapolis area who was highly recruited by the hometown Gophers but chose to be a Sioux instead. Hmmm.

I don’t think Hain was undisciplined last night. Dog-on-bone is fun to watch. It was the refs who were undisciplined IMO.

I have to respectfully disagree with that point. I’ve been following the Sioux for over 50 years. Their winning tradition is because of their ability to attract and recruit aggressive and, yes, chippy players. These are the types that win games on the boards. They appreciate that hockey is a contact sport. Talented skaters who shy away from that style of play become Gophers.

Both Jasper and JBD talked about why they are doing it and why they attended a peaceful demonstration this summer. They have been very open about this.
You have every right to disagree with what they did. You have every right to not be happy that they did it. Just like they have every right to do it. Is what they did the same as I would have done? Nope....but I respect their right to make that decision for themselves.
