  1. I guess it's not important to have reserve seating in a place that only seats around 2,000. It would have been fun to get the hyslop rocking one last time. Should be fun trying to fight for tickets on friday. I take it we will be in the afternoon bracket since CON. is the home team.

  2. Some of you have mentioned how the conference tourn. do not have much effect on the regional selection. I would have agreed had UND not been moved up. If you remember last year, UND went into SDSU and beat SDSU to win the NCC tourney. However, they remained #5 in region and drew SDSU in semis. How ironic, that this year UND goes into NDSU and beats them for NCC tourney, and then gets move up to #2. Guess who UND would draw in semis if both win???? NDSU. UND would have been better off being left in 4th like last year. Look how easy SDSU has it. No NCC school until finals. Seems to me the only advantage to the NCC tourney is making it hard for ND shcools to make it to Elite 8.

right on! there is no consistancy when it comes to seeding these teams. They know that having UND and NDSU #2 and #3 they will have to play again which would draw a bigger gate on Con.- St. Paul's palace floor. They always want us to take the tough road. Looking back we should have thown the game against SDSU, and perhaps got the unbelievable #4th seed. SDSU #4 seed what a joke.

  3. Looks like we might play the bison again. But one game at a time. The bison have a tough road as they will have a tough S.D. team to beat first. SDSU gets a break with the 4th seed as they will not have to meet an NCC opponet until the final. Good year to be #4.

  4. Great, great win tonight by the women. That cannot be said enough. A loss tonight would have made the regional road pretty tough, this win puts the Sioux at a minimum of the 3 seed, meaning it should be an RMAC team in the 1st round. Nothing I like better, and yes that includes NDSU in hoops, then beating SDSU in basketball. It was a gutsy effort, and you have to say that our chances tommorrow night are better then average. The old addage of beating a team 3 times comes into play, and the 2 previous have been by a hair. It is great to see Mahlum hitting her shots again, she had struggled a bit down the stretch and hopefully can provide the same tommorrow night. Where is Jackguy, he seems quiet despite his "we'll see on a neutral court" talk. Hopefully the Sioux can bring a good contingent to Fargo.

the 4th seed wouldn't be bad either because that would match us up with con.-st.paul in the semi's then with a win play for the region title without the home crowdcheering. We would have a great crowd there for the title game.

  5. The NCC has lost four teams in the last couple years, not one.

The NCC is 19-24 with one national championship in the DII playoffs. The Great West is 61-40 with 8 national championships (not counting NDSU's three poll championships).

The average attendance at a Great West game next year is likely to average almost twice what an NCC game does.

If you are laughing at the Great West, you must have ruptured a spleen laughing at the NCC.

Peru State, Moorhead (at least twice), Upper Iowa (at least three times), Wisconsin-La Crosse (at least twice), Bemidji State, Oklahoma Panhandle,

Northern State, Crookston, Concordia St Paul (at least twice), and SW Minnesota State? Nice non-conference scheduling... for a DIII conference.

WOW, the bison are going to be playing in front of how many people. Cal Poly ave. attendence 6,921 Davis 6,338 S. Utah 5,589. Now this is big time DI football at it's best. It's to bad St. Mary's dropped football because that game out there would have had almost 2,000 people packed in. Your not in MONTANA anymore.

  6. All these stadiums in the new conference only holds around 8,000 people and I doubt they they are ever filled when they are playing a nobody. Of course the bison will get those charters out the the west coast and fill those seats. YA RIGHT. Hop on the bus gus.

  7. This new conference is a glorified NCC at best. St. Mary's is holding out for some reason, so there may only be six teams in this GREAT conference. And there great press conference that they had, which everybody already knew about, was to mention there schedule. I think everybody was waiting to see if Montana or montana St. was going to be mentioned on it. Well not yet. They did however mention them beating montana for the 10,000 time this year. And what's up with them saying they have a great rivalry with uc-davis. Everybody is going to be NDSU's rival now because that's the biiissson way to do it. Good Luck.

  8. If UND can keep getting good teams to come here to play and get 7,000-8,000 or more in attendence doesn't make sence to do that instead of having the bison come here every other year and lose a home game that one year. Unless the bison want to come here every year. Heck, with their schedule that would be considered a home game only an hour away and could save money by taking a bus instead of flying to east texas community college or something.

  9. The press conference was mainly to set the record straight about not playing the biiissson, and explaining why to all those bison fans that are confused. And what was the big deal about a press conference, the biiissson have one every week with BIG TIME "BOHL". You know he is to good to do a pre-game interview. And one more rant I have, the "laughable game" with ferris state that some reporter talked about is probrably not so laughable. Saginaw won the great lakes conf. with Grand Valley finishing second. Ferris lost to Saginaw at Saginaw 38-31. By the way Ferris was up 24-7 at the half. So, not a bad team, not a bad schedule right "STEVE H."
