Jones had a bad game, he hasn't had a bad tourney. Sorry but I think he will be just fine being drafted 1 or 2 with McKinnon even though he didn't attend UND This team can't score against a good team. 2 goals in those 2 games?? Really and neither from a forward. Gibson bailed them out in that first period vs Canada. This isn't a tourney as coaches that you wait and hope for lines to click. It's so short that you need to shake things up by period if things aren't working and as we all can see up to this point this team cannot score. Germany doesn't count, they are beyond bad. Beat Slovakia and they give themselves a new life into medal rounds but that won't be a easy task. No offensive chemistry throughout this team so far. Subban was solid in net for Canada. Quick pads! Time for Rocco Jt and co. to score a few goals. Go USA

I lived in Arizona for 19 years, went to many coyotes games and worked for them. If they are winning it works, and that's still a stretch. I want college hockey to keep growing but holding tourneys in Florida and or other non hockey markets if you will doesn't do much good. Yeah it's great for the few fans that will make that trek or live there but lets be real here. College hockey has its own issues even selling out 4,000 seat venues for regionals in hockey markets. Especially frozen 4's, keep those out of the mentioned states above please Lack of hotels for a college hockey tourney in December won't be a problem. One hotel could cover all teams and traveling fans. Fiesta bowl draws hundred thousand people if they could and a college hockey game in dec maybe a thousand or two if lucky and that's including locals.

If you think about it this tourney is like nothing else out there in sports. You have heated rivals from the NCAA, OHL and WHL all playing together for various countries. Interesting dynamic given its mid season or so for all of those leagues.. Hope team USA can drop the Canucks for better positioning!

That OT was huge for Slovakia and maybe USA down the road. I didn't realize you get 3 points for a regulation win, 2 points for a OT/shoot out win and 1 point for a OT/shoot out loss

Will be interesting to watch Nail Yakupov vs the Canucks and how that plays out. He must know many of those guys from major juniors before heading back to KHL due to the lockout. He is an amazing player. 1st overall NHL draft pick last year by the Oilers. He had 9 assists in last years tourney Watching this Russia Slovakia game there were a couple cheap shots each way that may get reviewed. Russian went very low and dangerous on a slovak then a Slovak player got a nice cross check to the back of the head that wasn't called. Then a russian cross checks a guy to the face late for a good ol fashion double minor Hope Rocco, jt miller, jones and trouba are ready to make some noise over in Russia!! Go USA
