  1. Hey, Beersong.....Since you were with the group in the corner by the band chanting "Oftly Quiet?" I must say you guys are creative cause that was one of the funniest things I heard all year, but the sad thing is it is true. That building should be loud as can be and I think it's a problem with the student section. They need to be more vocal. I remember the old Ralph and the students would just let the other team have it. They should try to be more like that again. They just seem tame now.

  2. I would guess that the high school players would have more of a problem with the ice not being set since they only have 12 minutes between periods and not 15. But either way there were still some pools for when the sioux play. Something needs to get fixed.

  3. Forecheck, Any idea what day of the week this would be on. I would need to figure out my work schedule. I also know another Sioux fan that may be interested to play. Just coincidently he got an invitation to try out from Gino in the early 90's but did not make the team. So he can skate quite well. Also, I wonder if I could talk Jason Notermann's brother to play. But let me know if we need people. That would give us two really good skaters. As I would consider myself average.

  4. UND95 said it best. The two periods I got to watch the Sioux looked flat. Like a 2 day old beer that you throw away. I wish I could have seen the first period but due to other commitments I couldn't. I was just wondering if I could get a little better recap of the first period. Did the Sioux play really well or did the Tigers just play flat like the Sioux did the last two periods?

  5. These two teams mirrow each other almost perfectly. If you look at the second lines the Sioux have a 1.5 point advantage which is a wash with the defense of the Tigers. This is going to be one hell of a battle. Thanks for all the good work PCM.

  6. I think I remember hearing on the pregame on saturday night that Tyler was still suffering from some post concussion syndrome but that was about it. I guess he was still getting headaches when he tried to skate.

I think the team has played extremely well on the defensive side of the puck but just need to get over the goal scoring slump. Once they do that look out. cause this is the one of the most solid teams I have seen playing 5v5.

  7. Connelly didn't play tonight. He was sick I guess. Massen was on the line with Noterman and Lundbohm.

Also, after watching the game the shots on goal didn't seem like it was legitimate. I would guess the sioux gave up closer to 20 shots on net because I noticed that on a few shots on goal the stat person didn't put a shot up. Is this bad, no but it was just an observation as I was sitting watching the game.

I will say that I think the sioux played down to the level of UAA. The other thing I did notice is that the defenseman need to start hitting the net on the long shots from the point cause they are missing the net by a long ways on a bunch of the shots. They just need to start putting these pucks low to the ice and get some rebounds for people like Parise, bochenski, massen, etc..... to put in. But overall I can say that defensivly they are playing much much better than last year.

  8. The other thing I noticed is that the Money Player seems to have increased his speed from last year quite a bit. Last year he seem to be lethargic on the ice. He seemed like an extra jump was there. And not to sound like a certain Boston College fan....I can see Parise and the Money Player on the same line as Murray next year........Ah, the scoring potential on that line.

And Lienwebber looked great, he used his body well to move the opposing player away from the puck....He also seemed to move the puck well. The other thing I was a little disappointed about is that Schneider didn't have a rematch with the guy he beat the crap out of last year at the game. I guess it shows that this team is a little more disciplined than last years.

  9. I'm assuming the hit everyone keeps talking about is the one where he got hit just inside of the blue line. He just stood there looking at the puck because there was a delayed offsides and just got run over.

  10. I get this feeling that Parise will be around to play with his former linemate Brady Murray next year. Just a gut instinct. I think that was one of the reasons that Murray decided to come to UND. But who knows. I just hope my instinct is right.

  11. Just to add some to Sockeye Sioux comments on the shoulder. Brian is probably having "electronic stim" like those ab things a littlewhile ago and probably some ultrasound to help him heal. I am a trainer for a football team and we had a guy with a shoulder injury that sounds similar and he wasn't out too long.

And does anyone know if O'Leary is one of the guys trying to walk on?

  12. The size increase doesn't suprise me. I know that there are a few players attending a camp that my roommate is one of the speed and strength guys. He also said that Ryan Bayda was there working out with a few guys from UND. So that is good. This camp has produced results. And these guys are skating with quite a few NHL players so that will be some good ice time.

Also, does anyone know what happened with Trevor Bayda???

  13. Does anyone know who the else the Sioux are trying to bring in?  I personally would like to see them bring in another defenseman.  Also, does anyone know if they are still trying to convert Derek Faul to defense?

  14. To anyone that can help me out.  I would like to get ahold of games from this year.  I've seen most of them, but I would like to have copies.  Anyone that can help me out can email me at wantagh19@yahoo.com.

    Thanks

  15. I thought that it sounded like Jake Brandt played a very good game in net for the Sioux this week.  The radio annoucers sounded like they were equally impressed with him.  What does anyone else thing.  Anyone at the game?
